This is a genuinely excellent movie! I was a little skeptical at first given the fact that there would've been a chance that even though they fixed Sonic's design, this movie was going to be too much like The Smurfs. But boy was I wrong! Jim Carrey absolutely steals the show as Dr. Robotnik, who will eventually adopt the name Eggman, and Sonic just looks so cute! The action scenes are excellent and some jokes are really hilarious! I'd highly recommend this movie to anybody
The movie has everything that a historical movie requires and above all does not go out of the way which seems unbelievable. Whatever is there one will find believable which makes this very enjoyable and special. Execution on every level is top notch. Acting, music, action, VFX everything is enjoyable. India's own Gladiator.
Always loved this movie since I was a kid, even had it on VHS back when that was relevant; I need to own it now! So much fun to watch, in fact I have always thought it's underrated. Some of my favorite camera shots, stunts, silly humor, great soundtrack, gorgeous cast, and memorable moments. I love Tom Green, Bill Murray, Crispin Glover, Sam Rockwell, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, and Kelly Lynch are all amazing actors! I will always love this movie even if others don't! Not much else to just relish this gemstone of a awesome film!
Great film with strong content and social message. The story is based on the major issue of our society. It takes time to create a story in the first half. But in the second half you will easily get connected. Rajkumar Rao plays the Gujarati character very well. Boman Irani's character was very energetic and it seems natural for some time. Paresh Rawal's cameo was awesome. In the climax you will be really surprised and appreciate the character. Mouni Roy's screenplay was short but he played it well. The songs are average. The background music sounded weak in some scenes and so you can get bored especially in the first half. Everything else is good. This film could have been made more interesting and impressive.
Given that this was ten years apart from its predecessor, I feared that this movie would suffer the far-separated comedy sequel curse, but my doubts were quickly shaken. The sequel remains really funny, including the return of the fun narrative cutaways and the, sometimes creative, use of text for the rules of surviving the zombie apocalypse. The returning four main characters remain great. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) and Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) are a great odd-couple duo with excellent chemistry. Emma Stone as Wichita continues to do a great job as the one who reacts sarcastically. I love new character Madison (Zoey Deutsch). She is a bimbo/airhead type, but she has a specific quirkiness that makes the character distinctive. She always has the most random lines. The plot itself is a little lightweight; the movie mostly runs on the jokes. Overall, I had a good time with this and recommend it.
