Monu posted a review for Birds of Prey in Movies
Yan's quick cutting narrative employs a whacky tone with a 'Kill Bill' streak of orchestrated, crunchily choreographed violence. Impressively colourful and incendiary action set-pieces with a playful, energetic vibe lend this film the ambience, verve and edge that Suicide Squad lacked. Of course, the ambition here is to set up a believable multi-faceted all-girl gang of ace warriors and so there's quite a bit of character development thrown into the mix. Birds of Prey has a high-on-drugs demented vibe that is imminently catchy. The camera work, vibrancy of the colour palette, the highly effective slow-mo inserts lend clarity and coherence to this celebration of dysfunctions. While McGregor bites into his role with relish it is Margot Robbie as Harley who appears to be having the most fun. She is undoubtedly the best and most entertaining part of Birds of Prey. Yan, of course, must be given due credit for lifting this comic-cinema-universe out of the doldrums.

Monu posted a review for Good Newwz in Movies
Raj Mehta has made his directorial debut with this film and his special thing is that he has not allowed this film to be vulgar, boring and over the top of the issue like sperm exchange. On one side of the Good Newwz, the special thing is that it has been edited very well and this film does not make it boring. The first half of Good Newwz is very good and interesting, while the second half is full of comedy and also a little emotional. The song of the film is popular from the first. Talking about acting, Akshay Kumar has once again shown that he is not less than anyone in the matter of comedy. His comic timing is very funny. Kareena Kapoor is also looking very beautiful in this film. Diljit and Kiara Advani have also done their part very well

Monu posted a review for Bala in Movies
Aayushman khurana has been delivering movies on social issues and has been nailing those roles again and again. Bala too, will be considered as one of his finest performance because he potrays the emotions so nicely that even though you laugh at some scenes, you still feel sad for him. The supporting cast also nails and fit perfectly in there roles. The UP accent, family drama, all these things make you believe that indeed you are in kanpur. Yami Gautam also has been given some good scenes and has played her role nicely. Just one problem with the film was the casting of bhumi pednekar. The make up done on her is really distracting whenever she comes in screen and also just opposes to the social message that the film wants to deliver. Still you ignore this because of the way Bhumi played the character of Latika and you feel for her from the first scene itself. Constantly entertaining and not even a single dull moment ! Go for it !!

Monu posted a review for Dabangg 3 in Movies
Chulbul Pandey and his story moves from Laalgunj to Kanpur to Tundla, all in Uttar Pradesh, in the third instalment of the Dabangg franchise. Along with the locales, the directors and the respective flavours they add to each film have also changed - from Abhinav Kashyap to Arbaaz Khan to now Prabhudheva. What hasn't changed is Salman Khan's dabanggai. If his subordinate asks for a promotion he still shoots at him so that he can claim sarkaari compensation. His toxic yet all-in-jest banter with bro Makkhi (Arbaaz Khan) is still on. And he still wastes err...invests, sorry, invests as much time as he can delivering punch lines pe punch lines before finishing off the bad guy. Sometimes, much to Rajjo's (Sonakshi Sinha) peril.

Monu posted a review for Mardaani 2 in Movies
Ever since I heard about Mardaani's sequel, I had great expectations coz of the only one lady, Rani Mukerji and i had some regrets that I missed Mardaani in theaters and decided to watch it in theaters on its first day. The cat and mouse game between the fierce cop Shivani Roy and a serial killer who loves to rape, torture and kills young girls. He is wild, cunning beastly and unpredictable behaviour with a dark past and is on run. Will Shivani succeeds in her mission forms the crux of the story. Well, the fast paced narration and the background score keeps you engaged in this gritty thriller. The performances of the lead and the sub characters were sumptuous. Once again, Rani didn't disappoint me, she has got the right attittude as the SP Shivani Roy and was very convincing. But the debutante Vishal Jethwa stole the whole show. He was absolutely magnificent. The character was well constructed might be inspired from Korean Serial Killer Movies.
