Two stars and firm favourites of the action genre, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, lock horns in War. It’s a juicy proposition for fanboys and girls of both actors. A sort of millennial throwback to the 90s showdown between Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff in Subhash Ghai's Khalnayak. But apart from this talking-point premise, War, serves up a lot more for the action-movie buffs. It has lots of stunts, thrills, twists and just enough masala and explosions to keep you engaged in the first half, but once the big reveals happen in the second half of the story, it goes awry. India’s super-soldier Kabir (Hrithik Roshan) goes rogue after killing his handler on an assassination mission. Kabir's protégé Khalid (Tiger Shroff) is tasked with tracking his mentor down and bringing him to justice.
Definitely it's a must watch movie !! Movie is full of action and twists. Work by Hritik Roshan and Tiger Shroff is fantastic. Action scenes are very good and full of energy. I totally enjoyed this movie. Story is good but some action scenes are little similar to mission impossible 6 action scenes. All in all go and watch this movie.
War has every trait to be a superhit - buzz creating stars, amazing locations, world class action sequences, music and dance. Let's start with performance, Hrithik Roshan plays Kabir. He looks so comfortable in his role. He has proved himself that his fans can blindy go to theater. His nuances as Kabir steals the show and action is bang-bang. Something similar is seen in Tiger's action too. He gives a tough competition to Hrithik.
For those that will buy a ticket simply to gawk at the collective handsomeness of its leading men, War gives you your money’s worth. Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff practically burn up the screen when they’re matching steps in synchronized dance numbers, or going brawn for brawn when pitted against each other in fight scenes. Yet you can’t shake off the feeling that any film starring these two talented and genetically blessed movie stars should be smarter and more thrilling that this one that they decided to make.
"War" was pretty intense revenge-thriller similar to Chan-wook Park's Oldboy and the action was non-stop. The movie centered more around the plot than special effects or martial arts. I think there could have actually been a little more of the martial arts and special effects, it is like Corey Yuen is taking a sabbatical leave in the middle of the film and leave the scene to the director, but the plot was still good enough to hold your attention throughout. For 2 hours of entertainment, you couldn't ask for much more. It was a good movie, all in all. Li and Stratham did a good job on the acting. They are also wonderful wonderful action star, and the outwardly coolness turn them into lethal killing machine. I did like the sword fights in the end I thought they were well choreographed and rehearsed.
