Benu posted a review for Article 15 in Movies
Watched the movie today. The film features Ayushmann Khurrana as IPS officer who investigates a rape and murder of a woman belonging to a lower-cast community. Article 15 is very well written. Director Anubhav Sinha and writer Gaurav Solanki make a great team. The movie is very riveting and very well acted. Impactful performances by everyone... Article15 is a must watch

Benu posted a review for Bharat in Movies
An official adaptation of South Korean drama 'Ode to my Father' (2014), Bharat retains its core theme but then needlessly stuffs the screenplay with it's own comic sequences probably to appeal to a larger audience (and Bhai fans). Unfortunately, most of this forced humour falls flat on its mooh. Like Sunil Grover's cringe inducing chaddi comedy as well as a pirate attack making a total mockery of 'Captain Phillips' (2013). Tsk tsk!! Quite obviously, writer- director Ali Abbas Zafar has bitten more than he can chew here and that reflects in the way the film simply dithers and withers post intermission. Certain sub plots like a TV channel's attempt to re-unite long estranged relatives from both sides of the Wagah Border appear downright childish and never ending. Yawwnnn!! On the positive, Salman Bhai is simply super in the titular role and pitches in a stellar performance. His old guy look is awesome. Its difficult to imagine any other star adding such style and swag to this role. Well done Bhaijaan!! Of the rest, Disha Patani has one song and one scene. Tabu gets two scenes. So does Jackie Shroff. Sunil Grover, getting a meatier role, is sincere. Conjuring an ever cracking chemistry with Bhai, Katrina Kaif has performed better than ever before. On the tech front, the bygone 60's to 90's era doesn't impress you the way it should have. The visuals and settings are strictly okay. Vishal and Shekhar's music is a let down. In fact, a couple of songs can be deleted from the film. Editing needed to be more crisp and those frequent cuts to the partition scene get repetitive after a point.

Benu posted a review for PM Narendra Modi in Movies
The movie I was waiting to watch so desperately. Finally got to see it and was happy to know more about this CHAIWALA who had dreams to build a very strong India. This movie is life journey of our current PM directed by Omung Kumar and acted by Vivek Oberoi. I was surprised by acting of Vivek oberoi ( personally I don't like his acting as such except few movies like company and saathiya),he has put his heart and soul into it. But yes he misses the AURA of the person whose biopic he is doing it. No doubt it is his best acting till date probably, but a very strong character artist was required to match the charisma of NaMo. My choice of preference would have been Akshay Kumar or Ajay Devgn and if a character artist had to play this role then it would definitely be Paresh Rawal. Direction of Omung Kumar lacks the intensity it had which was there in Marykom. Dialogues are good and some of them are taken from the man himself and used properly in the movie. Manoj Joshi is perfectly casted as Amit shah & even Zarina wahab is good as Heera baa. The movie looks as if it is haphazardly made and not properly edited either. All the important occassions in NaMo life are covered but it gives u a feeling that something is missing. Most of us love Modi and I am Strong supporter of him and BHAKT ( term given to me by my few of Liberal friends ) and I only went to see this movie to know about this man more. Few may like this movie few may not. HOPES, DREAMS AND VISION of this man is unbeatable and yes MODI HAI TOH MUMKIN HAI.

Benu posted a review for Toy Story 4 in Movies
I am a die hard Toy Story fan. Toy story 3 made me cry. Everyone knows woody is all about his kid no matter what when Andy grew up he was gonna live in the attic just to be there for Andy. He told bonnie this is his most special Toy and she loved woody. All the sudden she just doesn't like him anymore and never plays with him which is weird in itself. So he leaves. I was not a fan of how it ended and how the original toys were barely in it. Wish it had the magic of Toy Story 3.

Benu posted a review for Kabir Singh in Movies
Best amongst all Shahid movies. Great melodious tracks seasoned with freshness of rock music. Great acting. Intense role by Shahid. Must watch movie. U can't leave the movie behind while u leave theatre it occupies a space within. Songs which u can't keep urself from humming. There could be something new added or changed from the original movie but still u hadn't watched Arjun Reddy they will be thrilled to watch the movie. Shahid completely fits in the role. Kiara has done pretty well in those little moments she got. P.S- not a family movie involves lots of drug addiction and intense kissing scenes. Totally a youngster movie.
