Manikandan posted a review for Bombshell in Movies
Contrary to what seems to be the opinion of most of the people who reviewed the movie, I thought the movie was an obvious hit piece against Fox News, that inadvertently made the women bringing these complaints looks appallingly bad, in particular Megan Kelly. Basically the movie attempts to depict Kelly, Carlson and a fictional young woman destroying Roger Ailes who is depicted as an enfeebled, fat, very sick, hemophiliac on IV therapy, reduced to a walker to get out of a chair. There was a time in America when sick enfeebled old men or women were beyond attack. Their failings were overlooked and ignored because it was understood that people like this are beyond that kind of criticism. No so much now. The movie gives one just line grudgingly said by Kelly acknowledging Ailes’ acts of loyalty and kindness to multiple people over the years. It admits that after unsuccessfully propositioning her 10 years before, Ailes advised, promoted and advanced her to the top anchor position in the Fox lineup. Yet, never forgetting or forgiving, she delivers the final blow that edges him out. To me, the movie came off as a woke hit piece that attempted to depict these women as heroically courageous but in reality was nothing more than the depiction of bringing down the man who had elevated them but was now a old sick man well past his prime who could no longer adequately defend himself. Nothing there to be proud of.

Manikandan posted a review for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker in Movies
The ability this movie has to curb the elements this vast universe has, into a fulfilling, true to the bone dark versus light, galaxy saving spectacle, can truly be the called the final chapter that Star Wars deserves. The variety of stories tied together, the mixture of seemly dis pare plot lines left over and dead ends that other Star Wars movies left for the momentous task of culminating, resulted in a satisfying creation by the mind of JJ Abrams and crew. No essence of being a carbon copy, no needless nostalgia triggers, and no useless "big picture" modern day issue moments that detached fans from the previous movies in the modern trilogy. The pureness of saving the galaxy, brothers and sisters in arms, and good versus evil circled the wholesome development of the main characters ensemble. Rise of Sky-walker felt like it achieved a high rank in my books, by giving real life to the priorities of the new characters, as well as more diverse character relationships that weren't at all reflective of any that came before it. I sincerely loved the resulting product of the modern trilogy despite the ups downs and awkward/ needless noise the previous movies left off with. This movie satisfied my tensions towards Star Wars and left me with a a trilogy that delivers a wholesome edge of your seat experience full of exiting battles, massive plot development and outstanding direction of such a complex galaxy to navigate, that you left free to move onto the next beautiful creation Lucas Film has to offer.

Manikandan posted a review for Panipat in Movies
Panipat, is really worth a watch for all the history lovers and for those curios eyes about our history and the unsung hero's about whom I never had in my books in school days. The movie is great in direction, screenplay, choreography and other technical aspects, expect the part that Marathas never had African elephants. The supporting cast is excellent, Kriti Sanon, I would say has both the hot and light emotional appeal, but not the one to bring tears. Arjun Kapoor has done his part well but guess the bullet didn't reach its target... Sanjay Dutt is brilliant, will remind you of his Agneepat's character, his costume and make-up is excellent and on point. In the first half, I felt one song was unnecessary and the romance of Sadashiv Rao Bau and Parvati is over-powering which could have been reduced to increase the footage for more of the betrayal scenes. The second half of the movie is great, will capture your attention, the battle ground scenes has been executed extremely well, the output is brilliant with all its effects. It again is a historical punch to the political crowd- apne hi apno ko kat the hai... aur kuch log door rehkar bhi paas ajate hai

Manikandan posted a review for Super 30 in Movies
Super30 is based on the talented mathematician #AnandKumar who runs an #IITJEE free training centre for under-privileged kids in #Bihar. The movie scores majorly well and is an amalgamation of facts and fiction. You cannot call it a biopic as there are quite a few over dramatic and theatrical moments. But you can afford to ignore them as the message conveyed in the end is quite important and the right way to move forward too . #Hrithik has probably delivered his career’s most convincing performance since #Jodhaakbar. His makeover and accent is little artificial to deal with initially and inconsistent at times but you get over it once you get into that character. Super30 kids are just awesome and have been rightly cast. #Pankajtripathi is solid with his usual sense of humour and other supporting cast is rightly fit. Overall a good one-time watch !!

Manikandan posted a review for Spider-Man: Far from Home in Movies
I loved Spider-Man Far From Home it was a bigger film than Homecoming. It has more intense action when peter was fighting against those elementals and the battles were so intense that buildings were destroyed like it was a big incident. There was a funny part when peter was trying to prevent buildings from crashing on the running people, where peter was in a bell tower he ended up getting hit by the bell as he was trying to get up a few times. I liked how mysterio interacted with peter acting like a mentor figure to him, when Tony died in Endgame and I think Jake did a great performance as mysterio. In the film he wanted to take a break from his superhero career because of what he's been through in Endgame, and he was facing difficulties with living up to Tony Stark's legacy as the world was expecting him to succeed his mentor. But in the end he was willing to step up to protect the people he cares about which made him more serious with his superhero life, as he grew to understand just how the life of a superhero can tough and serious. This shows how he has matured in the film and he doesn't want to let down his late mentor as he had put his faith in him. So I think the film is even more amazing than its predecessor it especially with the twists and I wonder how that's going to affect the next spider man film and the film gave a good ending to phase 3
