Based on ‘The Fault in our Stars’, a best-selling 2012 Novel written by John Green. The movie follows the journey of Kizzie Basu (played by Sanjana) who is struggling in a losing battle with cancer. She wishes to live a normal life where she can do all the normal things that a young person does within her transient life. At one point she says, “Hero banne ke liye popular nahi hona padta, Woh real life mein bhi hote hai”. She also has an urge to meet her favourite song-writer Abhimanyu Veer to ask about the last unfinished song he wrote. Manny, who is a die-hard Rajnikant fan, on the other hand, wants to live an extraordinary life, a life of a ‘hero’ to be remembered. On their quest to fulfill their aims together, they go through a heart-wrenching journey of love and sorrow which can weld tears in one’s eyes while also leaving a broad grin which is as eternal as the protagonists’ spirit to live. The movie finds funny ways of dramatising the process whereby one generation of women squares its frustrations with another – but it adds up to spirited, intelligent, authentically feminist entertainment. What comes across as flaws are some of the dialogues. Also, there has been no emphasis on the character development of Manny.
Born into poverty in Bangalore, Devi is obliged to flee India after shooting a no-good suitor, eventually landing in postwar Britain, where a Spanish Henry Higgins (Luca Calvani) helps to polish her broken English. the eponymous heroine, Shakuntala Devi (Vidya Balan), was a phenomenal, Guinness World Records-noted mathematician who performed for many decades in the 20th century under the stage name the Human Computer. The movie finds funny ways of dramatising the process whereby one generation of women squares its frustrations with another – but it adds up to spirited, intelligent, authentically feminist entertainment.
Clocking in at a mammoth 18 tracks, Brightest Blue is double-sided album. Brightest Blue comprises two parts: the first 13-song collection explores her vulnerability and insecurities through Eighties power balladry and Nineties R&B, while the shorter, second section EG.0 features pop-banger collaborations with Lauv, Swae Lee and the late Juice WRLD. Brigthest Blue is a cohesive, mature record on which Goulding took her chance to experiment and tell her story. A joy for her fans in these times.
Hey, So I watched gulabo sitabo recently as amazon was offering free prime membership for two weeks. Quite to my expectations, Gulabo Sitabo was a good movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The actors performance was amazing. Amitabh Bachchan was as always proved why still he's the best actor bollywood have. Ayushmann Khurana did a amzing job as well. Songs were brilliant, quite remarkable. The visuals were something quite bollywood has forgotten, still adored when picturised. Hatsoff to the direction as well that it didnt fell the the movie is about to end. Take your corns, enjoy Gulabo Sitabo. And one thing more, dont forget to admire the talent of outsiders of bollywood.
