Ashutosh posted a review for Mirzapur Season 2 (Web Series 2020) in Movies
In Mirzapur 2, violence and bloodshed is at its peak with revenge, lust for power and greed echoing in every heart. Pankaj Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya and Ali Fazal aka Guddu Pandit are at the centre of this world. Who will survive and who will lose? ''Jeet ki guarantee tabhi hai jab jeet aur haar, dono tumhare control mein ho," says a character in Mirzapur 2, a new but important addition to the cast this season. The show is now available for viewing on Amazon Prime Video and seems to live up to the hype. It has been two years since we saw Akhandanand Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) massacre anybody who crosses his path. And in Season 2, he vows to make his son, Munna (Divyendu Sharmaa) capable of carrying forward his legacy and ruling the city. Then there is Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), who is healing from past wounds, both emotional and physical. His sister, Dimpy (Harshita Gaur) and Golu (Shweta Tripathi), the love interest of his dead brother Bablu (Vikrant Massey), heal him and prepare him for the ultimate fight. But the Dimpy and Golu of Mirzapur 2 are nothing like that of Season 1. Gone are the days when their world was limited to college elections, dates or attending a friend’s wedding. Guns have replaced bangles and blood has replaced lipstick. The bloody world of Mirzapur seems to be bloodier in the second season, with revenge, lust for power, and greed echoing in every heart. Be it a politician who is looking forward to inaugurating a park that has his party symbol, mangoes, at the centre or a man who never wanted the life he lives but is forced into it after his father was killed in broad daylight, the second season appears to be much more ruthless. Along with violence, however, our characters are keen on using their brains too and the relationship dynamics are witnessing a major shift. While Golu and Sweety’s father, Parshuram Gupta, was Kaleen Bhaiya’s lapdog in the last season, they have to look for a new one this time. And with Compounder and almost all of his friends gone, Munna has nobody to rely on but his father. Then there is Beena (Rasika Dugal) and her ‘father-in-law’, who tells her “Sher ke mooh khoon lag chuka hai.” The star of the first two episodes remains Pankaj Tripathi. He talks more with his eyes than his mouth and doesn’t shy away from telling the Chief Minister that his brother is an utter moron. Of course, Kaleen Bhaiya didn’t exactly use the word ‘moron’, but if you watched the previous season, it won’t be hard to guess what he might have said. He is a delight to watch and there is nobody who could’ve played the character with such poise. Ali Fazal is more menacing this season with his pumped-up body and fierce eyes. He can barely walk after last season’s events but is like a wounded lion, ready to pounce on his prey whenever he gets the chance. Shweta Tripathi and Harshita Gaur leave us intrigued and have a lot more to do this season, compared to the last one. Divyendu Sharmaa entertains as well as terrifies us and plays the perfect son to Tripathi. Sheeba Chaddha and Rajesh Tailang reprise their roles as Vasudha and Ramakant Pandit, respectively and leave us teary-eyed in Episode 2. We are taken beyond Mirzapur in the second season. The show takes us as far as Lucknow, where the CM has an ‘aam darbar’ and listens to common people’s problems just before the elections. The maps are laid out, the soldiers are ready, and the planning has begun. Who will sit on the throne and who will lose? Watch the show to find out.

Ashutosh posted a review for 100% Wolf (2020) in Movies
The story centres on Freddy Lupin, heir to the leadership of a proud family line of werewolves. Positive he’ll become the most fearsome werewolf ever, Freddy is in for a shock when on his 14th birthday his first “warfing” goes awry, turning him into a ferocious… poodle. Thrown a bone by the pack elders, Freddy has until the next moonrise to prove he has the heart of a wolf, or risk being cast out forever. With the help of an unlikely ally in a streetwise stray named Batty, Freddy must overcome his pink and fluffy exterior to prove he’s still 100% Wolf. A real good family film which will make you laugh out loud one minute and shed a tear the next. This film knows how to hit you in the heart at the beginning with an echo of Simba and Mufasa’s relationship and ending! My eight-year-old called it! He immediately got upset when he saw Freddy and his father having such fun “This is not going to end well” were his words! I don’t know if he’s picked up the critic in me or if he’s just seen one too many Disney movies to know a parent always gets it. The film fast-forwards 6 years to Freddy’s warfing, the first time he turns into a wolf, and it’s so important for him as he will become the leader of the pack. He steps into the moonlight only to be turned into a Poodle. The scene had us all laughing! Freddy believes the moon has cursed him for losing the moon ring the night he lost his father. We follow Freddy is his quest to find the moonstone. To add to Freddy’s worries, his uncle is as nasty and evil as another Uncle we all know and love to hate and is out to make sure Freddy never becomes the next pack leader! A story of misunderstanding others and building unlikely friendships, this is a great family film that all will love, and if you are a dog lover you will appreciate the finer details of the movie that encompass the essence of a dog right down to the scrapping the backside along the floor!

Ashutosh posted a review for Scam 1992 (Web Series 2020) in Movies
This year was flooded with web series on all the OTT platforms. But not everyone matches the bar set by this series. I watched it devoid of any expectations thinking of completing an episode per day but ended up binge watching it. Hansal Mehta is already an established name in the industry. I was always a fan of his filmography. But this series made me a bigger fan of his. The effort the whole team has put in literally shows on screen. Full marks to Pratik Gandhi who lived his character completely. Rest of the cast also did a fabulous job. It was a tough task of displaying entire journey of Harshad Mehta in 10 episodes but the master magician Hansal Mehta did that with perfection. Extra points to the bgm and cinematography. All in all it is a must watch web series for everyone. In a scam like huge as 1992 shown in this series, it was never one person befooling the entire nation. This show has 2 names written all over it, pratik gandhi (harshad mehta) and the creator himself Hansal mehta. What a crazy show he has pulled off, no big actors with huge following but bunch of actors who have shown their par excellence in this 9 episode long series. This is the best work of hansal mehta that he has pulled off in his career. From the scene 1 to the last pratik gandhi has stole the show. what a great addition to the film industry. The strongest point in this very complicated series filled with so many jargons is the fact is it's screenplay. To the point, no nonsense, no strong language without any use, no vulgarity and just a focus on story-line. A strong screenplay and good direction is always the key to the film/ series and SCAM 1992 is here to proof. Don't think just watch it, you will love it and want to watch it in just one go. Too good to be made for an Indian audience which focuses only on one thing a good meme templates, which this series is definitely not.

Ashutosh posted a review for Rugby 20 in Games
I like the game very much - it's controls are comfortable and the gameplay is also good but I am somewhat disappointed with the story of the game. I think that it could have a better story and I also don't like the graphics of this game. The developers could have much better graphics and I think that it is a three star game.
