Ujjwal posted a review for AK vs AK (2020) in Movies
I always look forward to a Vikramaditya Motwane film. He always tries to do something new and there's no guessing what he's gonna come up with next. AK vs AK is another experimental but fun film to watch. After a public feud with Anil Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap decides to take revenge by kidnapping his daughter and films Kapoor's search for her in real time. I was curious to see how a film like this would play out as it's something Bollywood doesn't normally do. I love the idea of a film being meta and there have been some great ones in the past like Adaptation. AK vs AK had a very interesting concept and whilst it's execution isn't completely perfect, I was still pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. Whilst Kapoor and Kashyap play heightened versions of themselves, it was fun to see the amount of insults hurled at one another with some jokes made about the Bollywood industry. Despite knowing this is a work of fiction, Vikramaditya Motwane and Avinash Sampath sprinkle enough truths to make it seem authentic enough. The experimental reality show style filled with long takes really demands the acting chops of Kapoor and Kashyap. There are some great scenes such as a certain chase sequence and one taking place at a police station which asks a lot from Anil Kapoor who gives it his all. I have to admire the amount of work and effort he put into this role since there was so much he had to do. I haven't seen Anurag Kashyap act before but he did a pretty decent job with his evil smirk. AK vs AK has its handful of inside jokes but Motwane doesn't stop there as he also examines the effect of being famous and the relationship stars have with fans. During his search, Kapoor is constantly asked by the public for selfies and autographs and also has to perform for them before he gets the answers he needs to find Sonam Kapoor. It further shows how the public have the power. Despite enjoying the film, here were some flaws present. By the third act the film eventually loses steam and the end twist did not work for me. For what it was, I think AK vs AK is a film worth your time. It's rare to come across movies like this in Bollywood and whilst it's one of Motwane's weaker films, I would still like people to give it a try and support inventive and experimental content like this.

I have low expectations for DC movies. Some have delightfully surprised me. This falls flat on its face after 15-20 mins and never gets up...or even TRIES!! It felt rushed through production (definitely not in watch speed...). It was boring when their wasn't action and when the action started it was so fake it was distracting. Gadot and Pascal try and maybe have moments that don't suck. Wiig was...well exactly how you would expect her in an action film as a villain. To say the movie is disappointing is an understatement which is sad considering I had zero expectations going into it. Glad it was streaming so I didn't have to waste money on a movie ticket.

I am fan of David Dhawan-Govinda movies...but this movie is an insult to his talent and name... First of all Sara Ali Khan should find some other career option, she can't act. Secondly, Varun shouldn't be considered a second Govinda...Govinda is a legend. We don't want a second Govinda. Third but not the least, talents like Paresh Rawal, Jawed Jaffery and Rajpal Yadav were misused... Pls don't spoil the fun of 90s classics, by making such nuisance movies. I didn't have less than 1 star to give...so 1.

Ujjwal posted a review for Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives (Webseries 2020) in Movies
Seeing so many negative reviews breaks my heart. It's good. Yes there are cringeworthy and repetitive scenes but overall it's a nice insight into the lives. I'm not going to lie the first episode was pretty annoying but then I binge watched it. I love Maheep's overall personality which I absolutely hated at first. I love Neelam's charisma but her repeatedly talking about her dilemma got super boring. I love Bhavana's superstitious side (I hate superstitions) but I don't know at the end I didn't really vibe with her personality. I love Seema's fashionable style the way she carries herself but her tone and arrogance kinda put me off. Special mention and my favourite scene - the one where Samir Soni blatantly left the dinner. That was the highlight of the whole series for me and I relate to it a lot. Neelam's stalker scene was stupid I believe. So if you want to just chill and watch some light hearted drama (I hate thrillers and horror films cause anxiety), you could definitely give this series a shot. Yes I would have ideally preferred Kareena, Deepika, Aishwarya and Twinkle but honestly these ladies aren't any less either.

Ujjwal posted a review for Zombie Army 4: Dead War in Games
COOP mode needs more zombies to kill as 4 player squad can easily overwhelm them even on hard difficulty and getting a gold 5000xp rating at the end of a mission to rank up is near impossible on coop even if you kill the most zombies and complete challenges. Also the host on coop mode can kick you from the game for any reason they like. Graphics are primitive for 2020 zombie army trilogy had better maps on the campaign mode. And customization to your character is just laughable as you can only change there head gear no outfits no boots no webbing no new clothes not even face camo. The positive things about this game are the upgrades to your guns once fully upgraded they are very OP. You can change the look of guns from basic camo to diamond skins. Also new zombies and bosses are an added bonus But as started very easy to kill even on solo / coop on hard mode . If your looking for a challenge then this game is "NOT" for you.
