Kunal posted a review for Mortal Kombat (2021) in Movies
The movie starts with a strong, emotional entrance and a great fight scene. A rivalry between two clans grabs your attention. Following this, there is no substance. The middle (from about 30 minutes to 20 minutes before the end) is full of nonsense and quick interchanging fight scenes where it's impossible to focus on the action. The best costumes are those of Sub-Zero and Scorpion - The latter may make a brief appearance. Raiden is Asian with black hair, Goro still looks like a puppet and lives in Coles garage, and Shang Tsung looks like a character from Rui Paul. A massive missed opportunity for a gripping story, where the limited epic scenes were released as part of trailers or sneak peak previews. What you didn't see before release, you wouldn't have paid to see upon.

Kunal posted a review for The Big Bull (2021) in Movies
TheBigBull turns out to be a true movie experience for which the wait was on. Abhishek Bachchan delivers one of his BEST performances. His 20 years experience shows in this kookiev gulati film that moves at a rapid pace with a crisp engrossing narrative of a true story

Kunal posted a review for Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai in Movies
Choked - It set in a middle class housing colony in Mumbai; closely arranged houses with narrow lanes between, and the pale yellowish walls- it opens to an Indian Middle Class reality. It ruins around Sarita, a bank employee who runs to manage routine things, her unemployed husband Sushant, their little one and their neighborhood. Sarita fulfilled her role so easily and confidently. Even though Sushant's(Roshan Mathew) role is not reliable (as he seems always dependant on his wife) I feel like, being empathised by his soft nature. Many things we can relate to; not that, getting money - out of the blue, but the teeny-weeny incidents that follows the major plot line of the movie. The script is like a close-packed structure , you may or may not feel good; but you will not feel like choked while watching this movie...

Kunal posted a review for Gulabo Sitabo in Movies
Gulabo Sitabo : I know a lot of people will raise their eyebrows if I say it reminds me of the iconic Jalsaghar by late Satyajit Ray, but it did. Can't remember when was the last time, a mansion became so alive, that it deserves a seperate mention despite of the presence of two acting powerhouses of our present and past generation. Amitabh and Ayushman along with bunch of charector artists creates such a magic on screen that you wonder, whether you are watching a movie, or is it the reality wrapped in satire. On a flip side, by todays standrad the movie is not fast enough, but at the same time it is engaging enough to make you seat through. The climax is something which we can give an example of out of the box thinking and real, not about making anyone happy. Like the haveli, this movie has lots of lair to explore, which someone may love, may hate, but can't pinpoint and mark with a particular shade. Definately worth a watch, but be patient, like the age of the mansion, this movie also will take its own sweet time to unfold and wrap you.

Kunal posted a review for Avengers: Infinity War in Movies
The avengers latest stand feels well worth the wait. It's not perfect, but it goes to a place most tentpole movies wouldn't dream of, while retaining the scale, excitement and humour you have come to demand from an MCU movie. I am giving this movie 5 out of 5 star and eagerly waiting for the next part.
