The movie unhinged is a suspense thriller movie casting Russel Crowe who is in himself a master of these roles. The movie is about the son and his mother. Direction of the movie is superb specially the sound effects is so emmense that actually I got terrified at some point in the move . Lighting and visuals are all good . Rating 4/5
The movie name Unhinged is a psychological thriller. A few months later came the opportunity to watch such a thriller. However, thanks to the OTT platform, the web series web movie business is booming all around. There is no fear of a bad performance from an actor like Russell Crowe. He has tried hard enough to make the film stand out and has been successful. The story is about a stranger and a single mother. Action sequences, visual effects, dialogue, music are almost everything to remember. Directed by: Derrick Borte Rating: R Duration: 1 hour 30 mins Genre: Action, Thriller Release Date: 21/08/2020 Cast: Russell Crowe, Caren Pistorius, Jimmi Simpson & many more My Verdict: Plot - 4/5 Soundtrack - 4/5 Characters - 4/5 Directions - 4/5
Russell Crowe is immense in this film both literally and figuratively. His vast beardy rampaging menace is actually outsized for the plot, which is flimsy, derivative, and a tad predictable. No matter. His performance alone is well worth the price of admission - and his promise to show an uncivil motorist the true meaning of a "bad day" is a movie moment for the ages. Incidentally, this film is good. Don't expect an allegory about masculinity in crisis. Crowe plays a murderous monster who won't elicit a scintilla of your sympathy. The film is probably all the better for it.
Russell Crowe's acting of this maniacal character was to.tally believable. And it looked so natural to him scary. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. A good lesson about not reacting to other people's discourteous driving habits! The camera angles are in your face, and there is a lot of violence. I would not want this guy after me! Russell Crowe did a fine job, though.
The storyline could have been better, but at the same time. Russell Crowe did an excellent job playing the character. Absolutely crazy. The director should have not started it out with him murdering who I'm assuming is the ex wife. They should have shown some type of history before that scene. Also the way it ended was disappointing. I felt the kill was too easy. Everything in between was decent, except I feel there were a lot of non realistic actions on "Rachel's" part like not calling the cops even after she saw him run over the guy at the gas station. She didnt alert the police to go to her mother's home or her own home until the long drawn out breakdown she had at the underpass. She should have waited at the school for police to arrive. Then the part about police are unable to respond to a psycho killer on the loose because of a car accident is unrealistic. I absolutely think Russell Crowe acted phenomenally. Storyline could have been written way better though
Wow. I wasn't expecting that. Absolutely brutal thriller with a powerhouse performance from Crowe. It's like a cross between Falling Down & Duel & escalates the tension really well, especially as the sound design is especially prominent helping to portray the heightened sense of drama. The opening credits are there to remind you that escalating violence is on the increase and this plays out as a frightening scenario as to what could potentially happen. I'm never using my car horn again.
This movie is critic-proof. Is not good at all, and the end comes too quick. But it is hot outside, Covid-19 has destroyed our social life, and Cameron Crowe looks like John Goodman having a very bad day. What's not to like? It would be even better if they amped the violence (of which there's quite a few scenes). Completely illogical but some sequences are satisfying in a primal way. The era of the fall of the American Empire is full of rage. i have give only 3/5 star to this. this is an average movie
