Everything Ellie Goulding touches turns to pop  gold: her first three albums  were big hits. She is yet another of those miracles bred in the British provinces, in this case a Herefordshire village. Inspired no doubt by a string of power-women from Madonna to Beyoncé, Shakira to Joss Stone, Goulding mixes and matches a variety of styles in a manner that exploits familiarity with just enough freshness to make it sound new.

Ellie Goulding's Brightest Blue is her honest and raw album to date. It is sonically cohesive and pleasing to the ears. In Ellie's own words, this album is a "Blue Evolution" which is all about revival, independence and finding harmony in life by letting go of toxic past gracefully.

Ellie is back and better than ever. Each song is a chapter in her life that is told via her beautiful vocals that hypnotise you all the way through this wonderfully crafted album. Wish I could rate it higher! Not a single bad song on there! Great to hear the old Ellie sound again.

Ellie proves again shes a great songwriter. Amazing production and vocals. Love the details of every single song . From start to finish this album is an emotional rollercoaster and ellie shines as a very talented woman who has a lot to say. Glad she worked with starsmith again. 'Brightest Blue’ is her absolute strongest effort and is possibly one of the best albums of the year.

Loved ellie for years. This album is not a disappointment. Listening to the album over and over, at least 5 times through now. There are still new things to discover, meanings and connections, both recurring themes in her songs, and between her other albums. I’m in love with how ellie has transformed herself over the years. her sound isn’t just changing; she’s growing. She is a remarkable artist, and I’m excited to see where she goes from here.
