Pm Narendra Modi is a movie for those who are looking for a cinematic experience to see their beloved leader on big screen. The movie offers only some information about Narendra Modi's journey from being a helper in his father's tea stall to becoming the Prime Minister of the biggest democracy. Vivek Oberoi's acting was surprisingly on point. Although his resemblance became a source for funny memes before the release of the movie, But, after watching the movie it seems like Vivek has the last laugh. He was brilliant in some complex scenes where a strong character depth was needed. Overall, his efforts at portraying early political career of Modi paid off. Apart from the acting from the lead cast, the movie lacked research and somehow felt like it was done in a jiffy just to have a release before the elections so to get a wider audience reach. Background score and songs were really good. Cinematography was also good considering the movie schedule had little time to prepare before the actual shoot. Watch only if you are looking for a joyful experience of watching your favorite leader's life on a big screen.
Apart from the visuals, Salman Khan's Bharat offers mature audience little to no excitement. Storyline is riddled with way too many subplots that are incoherent with each others. Makers have tried everything that could've been possible from them in portraying Salman Khan's character as beyond everything be it materialism, greed, power etc. His story revolves throughout the film depicting important facets of his journey from a child to an old man. Bharat has its moments of truth in some scenes of the movie. But, they don't offer much addition to the storyline that was told. Songs are extravagant to say the least. There are few moments that makes you question the motives of directors of what the wanted to achieve with this movie - was it to really present an India centric version of "Ode to my Father" or were they just using an opportunity to rake up as much box office collection as the wanted without actually building a good storyline. Bharat, in a nutshell, is a disappointing movie that offers little to no excitement among the audiences who were hoping for a meaningful entertainer.
