With high dose of entertainment Bharat has Salman khan painted in every scence.
An ode to Salman's super stardom,Ali Abbas Zafar's film is larger than life in entertainment but lacks primarily in direction.
When it's Salman Khan on screen,do you care about the nitty gritties of the filmmaking in great compassion?
When it's a film that paints Salman's signature is every frame and still has its soul in place, that's the job well done.

Salman and his crew managed well but director and script writer left it way short of a success like Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Loose ends aplenty, tirade of flashback showing senile Shroff actually kills it. Katrina was trying but that accent just never leaves her. Extremely boring. Curls or not, this is another of her well rehearsed but finally dismal performance.Had great expectations from the film but was disappointed.

Bharat this movie is strictly for fans of Salman. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar staring the much celebrated pair Katrina and Salman, it failed to impress larger section of audience. The same logic defying fights of Salman, poor plot of the movie makes it unbearable. The passion of nationalism was shown in a good way and Salman portrayed in a better way. Some of the dance moves of Katrina were excellent and sets were feast to eye. So this film has got nothing much to offer except for Salman fans.

Well let me start by saying that I really don't watch Hindi movies. Now let me also state that movies like this is the reason why I don't watch Hindi movies. The plot was sentimental, emotional one. Created on the most important political stage of this nation- India's independence and the separation of India from Pakistan. In this incredibly stressed time, a boy, named Bharat, living in Pakistan, would try to come to India with his family on a train, but would eventually lose his little sister and his father on the crowded train headed for India. This is all fine. One can make an excellent movie based on this plot. As usual though, this was meant to be a commercial film and boy it was a commercial garbage in every sense of it. I'm not gonna go into much details, simply it's not even worth it to spend my time and write a lengthy review, but let mention the following: Those masala, cheap songs came from nowhere. Be it Disha Patani moving her body in the name of dancing in circus stage to lure the cheap Indian viewers, or later Katrina and Salman's senseless monkey jumping. These songs do not fit, obviously, they don't fit anywhere, but they will keep doing this I suppose, and people like me would keep avoiding these cheap masala movies for these reasons. On acting part- well Salman Khan. Enough said right? This was probably one of his best performance; well everyone has their limit you know? Lol. Katrina was fine (compared to Salman). The boy who did the young Bharat's part, now that was really good acting, even though his on-screen time was not that much. This is another huge problem with Indian movies like this. All these highly paid, top-shot actors not even putting a half-heated effort behind their acting bits. It's like the attitude meh, who cares, people will still watch it and we will still get money, so why bother! This is what differentiates western flims from ours. Even with weak storyline their actors, even the lower paid ones put so much effort behind actual, real acting, that the movies come alive and people like to watch it! In any case, to sum it up, just please don't bother to watch this movie, it's really that bad. It fails on pretty much everything. Keeping aside some humorous dialogues, very few good acting pieces, some really chilling moments (like the train of the dead people), this was a really poor presentation of the plot it was meant to colour, the execution was downright terrible. In one word- Meh! Cheers, Saurav

Beautiful story that showcase different relationships with father, lover and best friend. Brilliant acting done by Salman and Kat. Supported really well by Sunil. Nice cinematography and brilliant direction. All in all, you'll be really happy with this movie if you don't look for logic everywhere. Enjoy the movie leaving your brain behind but don't forget your heart. Sallu is back with a bang.

The trailer seemed interesting but sadly the movie was far from it. I really liked the concept of showcasing India's vast history and how it had its impact on our lead character's life but unfortunately the concept failed to impress on the big screen as the storyline was hollow. The movie didn't know where it was heading towards and that was the main problem. The casting wasn't good either and they were too many people who added nothing to the story. The acting was not at all convincing by any of the actors. Also, the scenes didn't even look like they were a part of history as everything looked like current times. The makers didn't put serious efforts and that was quite visible. The huge response it received was only due to the salman factor and nothing else.Really disappointed with the storyline.

Benu posted a review for Bharat in Movies
An official adaptation of South Korean drama 'Ode to my Father' (2014), Bharat retains its core theme but then needlessly stuffs the screenplay with it's own comic sequences probably to appeal to a larger audience (and Bhai fans). Unfortunately, most of this forced humour falls flat on its mooh. Like Sunil Grover's cringe inducing chaddi comedy as well as a pirate attack making a total mockery of 'Captain Phillips' (2013). Tsk tsk!! Quite obviously, writer- director Ali Abbas Zafar has bitten more than he can chew here and that reflects in the way the film simply dithers and withers post intermission. Certain sub plots like a TV channel's attempt to re-unite long estranged relatives from both sides of the Wagah Border appear downright childish and never ending. Yawwnnn!! On the positive, Salman Bhai is simply super in the titular role and pitches in a stellar performance. His old guy look is awesome. Its difficult to imagine any other star adding such style and swag to this role. Well done Bhaijaan!! Of the rest, Disha Patani has one song and one scene. Tabu gets two scenes. So does Jackie Shroff. Sunil Grover, getting a meatier role, is sincere. Conjuring an ever cracking chemistry with Bhai, Katrina Kaif has performed better than ever before. On the tech front, the bygone 60's to 90's era doesn't impress you the way it should have. The visuals and settings are strictly okay. Vishal and Shekhar's music is a let down. In fact, a couple of songs can be deleted from the film. Editing needed to be more crisp and those frequent cuts to the partition scene get repetitive after a point.

Bharat is strangely appealling: he curbs weapon toting privateers by moving like genius Amitabh Bachchan, charms the adoration for his life (Katrina Kaif) by recounting verse, and by and large procures better working/living conditions for himself and his friends by conveying enthusiastic discourses about India's significance. One of the principle joys of watching "Bharat" is seeing Khan coast on his significant charms as he and Kaif—who oftentimes surpasses Khan, as she recently did in the silly however winsome 2017 covert agent spine chiller "Tiger Zinda Hai"— suffer, by sheer power of conviction, through a few key crossroads in India's country building history. Khan isn't constantly sufficiently able to stick a few major, sappy enthusiastic minutes (ie: at whatever point he needs to accomplish something beyond seethe innocently). In any case, he and his co-stars are in some cases appealing enough to make the generally silly "Bharat" appear to be authentic. What's more, kid, is "Bharat" unbelievable: Khan's character, presently moderately aged, amuses his more distant family's individuals with wild (yet obvious enough!) stories of amazing humble-ness even with evolving values. In his time, Bharat came, seeing, and overcoming all that he wanted. First he bosses and after that stops a satisfying activity as an Evel Knievel-style stunt driver, yet simply after he understands that an exciting gig and an appealing accomplice (Disha Patani) aren't as significant as the model he's setting for India's naive adolescents. Next: Bharat goes to and afterward escapes from "some place in the Middle East" to make his fortune, yet simply after he experiences passionate feelings for cheeky forewoman Kumud Raina (Kaif) and safeguards some clumsy associates from a lethal mining occurrence. At that point he goes to Malta as a ship's repairman (regardless of having no mechanical abilities), yet leaves that situation after he subdues the previously mentioned privateers and helps his companion and consistent bromantic friend Vilayati (Sunil Grover) to sentiment the lady he had always wanted. Every scene in Bharat's life just serves to affirm his approachable nature and deathless devotion. Regardless of how unsolvable a given issue may appear—no one but he can unravel it. Khan's expansive, strong shoulders are regularly fit for conveying such a wide burden. He's most persuading when Bharat is fundamentally characterized by Khan's hip-waggling swagger, wide frown, and assessing gaze. He makes a white, astonished hop suit look great; heck, Khan makes a John-Waters-style pencil mustache look great. Khan's just extremely unconvincing when he needs to cry, ask, or display some other complex feelings, as he should in a critical scene including one of Bharat's missing relative. In any case, generally, Khan is flawless as the ecstatic Bharat: he's light enough on his feet, as we find in move numbers where he directions a legion of back-up artists, who obediently lift him upon their shoulders. The man is as massive and as glad for it as Macho Man Randy Savage during his prime, yet his associates for the most part realize how to draw out the best in him. There sufficiently aren't scenes where Khan gets the chance to flex, since "Bharat" chief Ali Abbas Zafar and co-author Varun V. Sharma definitely invest an abundant excess energy restoring their joyful hero's adoration for Mother India. Still: there are a few scenes where Khan reminds watchers that he's truly agreeable in his very own skin, yet realizes what to look like useful for the camera. Here and there, that is all that could possibly be needed.

The idea of the film is amazing. Just imagine watching a man and a country grow together through partition, changes in the economy and many deciding factors that shapes a country. Writer-Director Ali Abbas Zafar failed to capture the horrors of the partition even to the point that even mentioning what happened to him repetitive and trivial. Salman's acting does not make me believe that he even had little bit of trauma about partition. The movie has a lot of nonsensical comedy to a point that the comedy drifts the movie away from realism.

It is more of a documentary movie where the director portrays Salman and Katrina in the way they wanted to showcase their life. Finally, the live-in relationship between them is also being given approval in the movie as if Salman will not marry in real life also. No humor, no suspense, no action. Just a family drama with unfitting dabbang events displayed with poor script, poor dialogue and very poor direction. No comparison at all with Bajrangi bhaijaan or Sultan as the team has not done the required preparation for a good movie.

'Bharat' the movie fails to rise to its expectations. A story of the partition of two countries, bloodshed heart-wrenching separations among family and finally some reunion, is a very good backdrop but they haven't been capable to capitalize on the prowess of Salman Khan who plays Bharat and the movie shows how he grows up from his childhood, losing his father to his own old age and how he takes care of his family in spite of all odds. The reunion part brings tears to your eyes but the earlier part brings a bit of tedium. Good acting by Sunil Grover and Katrina Kaif.

Dude, I'm a big fan of Salman Khan and you can stop reading this review as there are going to be praises only. I totally loved all the scenes of Salman Bhai's entry throughout the different ages of his. Salman totally stole the show, how can you imagine a person being so fit and charming at the age of 50. He truly is a legend. The chemistry between Katrina and Salman is always sparky since we've seen them both together on-screen. Salman is a great actor and you're going to fall in love with him if you watch this movie. Highly recommended!!

Initially did not have much expectations from this movie but after watching the movie I found the movie to be ok. Overall the story of the movie is good. But the continuity of the story is not maintained. The movie shows the life of Bharat portrayed by Salman Khan and depicts the various struggles and adventures of his life Thankfully the movie does not have many over the top action scenes which we usually find in Salman Khan's movies. Though the movie seems to be a bit long. The cast of this movie does an okay job.

So first let's talk about the ongoing scheme over which the entirety of bollywood is running. Casting half an aged actress opposite an old hero. Yeah, old. Salman Khan has lost his charm that was quite visible in this film. So rather than applauding his back he must look over the roles that actually suit him. He must look around himself what the new age actors are doing. What scripts are they selecting. In a changing era of new stories he is yet choosing that old and lousy scripts that don't justify him as an actor. Sunil Grover is the only actor that you'll find entertaining and respectful towards his role. He is a genuine actor like Nawaz, Rajkumar and Radhika apte. Casting directors must look on for him to cast now for bigger and better role. Not a single thing more about the movie as there isn't a story. Don't waste your precious time on this.

So guys if you want to save yourself from a 3 hour long torture then don't watch this garbage film. Bharat is another shame to our movie industry when films like Andhadhun fails to cross 100 crore, and these films make 200 crore easily. Seriously film makers, the people of our country are evolving but still you guys are going to make such films is a disgrace to our industry. I don't know when was the last time when I saw a GOOD film of salman khan. Accept it man, you are old and you should romance accordingly. Disha Patani romancing Salman Khan man, which universe are we living in? If the acting is good then half of the bad things are being foreshadowed, but he ain't even a good actor yar. He should work on his acting. He can't even dance. So much wrong in this film. Where western cinema is making shows like Chernobyl, indian soap opera is still running the same old theory of saas bahu. So much wrong in this industry yaar. In short- DON'T WATCH THIS, PLEASE.

Bharat is Salman Khan's great effort to try a different genre of film and him succeeding again. He is great at whatever he does. He memerizes us with his actions and his roles across his life arc. The story of movie resonates with people's real life, there are many such family care takers who spend all their life in keeping their family safe, maintain integrity! This movie is not for those irresponsible mobile game players, who spread hatred and feel jealousy of good people doing good things for others. There is so much learn from this movie, took my whole family and all my family members are not SALKAT fans but they literally loved it and want to watch it again. This is another best movie after Sultan when it comes to building values! #Respect for whole #Bharat team.

Bharat which is an adaptation of the 2014 Korean drama, Ode To My Father, which premiered in the Berlin Film Festival. His BIL Atul Agnihotri(Alvira's hubby) saw it and modified for Indian audience. Its a story of an ordinary man taking the blows of life on the chin in order not to let his absent father down who asked him to look after the family separated in 1947 Indo Pak partition. Bharat is an exhausting crowd-pleaser for the massive Salman fan base out there with an icing of nationality. Its a parallel jouney of Bharat from 7 to 70 years and of India from old shops to mall culture. In the beginning, is a heart-wrenching incident from the partition (repeated in many movies)that separates the family paving way for Bharat’s arrival in( Purani )Dilli. The movie is made purely to entertain as a mixture of emotions, action, comedy, dance and foreign locations. The writing is like a patch work, the costumes don't match with the period and after interval it bores you due to lack of editing. Salman has acted well and supported by Sunil Grover in comedy and emotions.Katrina is ok but looks older with curly hair( straight hair are the best for her) and her accent needs improvisation .Our Sonali Kulkarni looks graceful and always acts perfectly. Few songs and dance sequences are good ,so are few new concept adventure scenes. Diector Ali Abbas Zafar needs lessons in precision and editing. People stand out in the middle of the film for our national anthem( which is a sign for the blockbuster), The underground scenes taken in middle east are thrilling, the partition scene will make you cry and so the scene of reunions of departed relatives and of whom?( my favourite) All these plus points make it a bright movie with added cute kid gang! Overall go for it only if you are a Salman fan

The ' Intension to inspire' is a bit in your face. While emotional manipulation happens in every film. The fact that it's evident here makes it a tad overbearing. The reverence is Blant. A little sublitely and crisp editing would have done wonders. Well overall BHARAT is well intentioned, entertaining and doesn't succumb to the trappings of commercial potboilers. Bharat was the basically the most noticeably awful film of 2019 till now, It flops in each division from acting to cinematography, from altering to screenplay, everything! The motion picture begins with an old salman khan(who doesn't look old by any stretch of the imagination) portraying his life journey...Now in this initial 5-10 mins there are a few jokes which are there to caution you that you're going to exhausted to death all through this film, indeed, there is definitely no satire, no silliness in this. At that point Bharat's voyage begins which is 'chu*iya kaatna', from here to there to there with definitely no association by any stretch of the imagination, in any event demonstrate the crowd how those encounters helped later in his life however nothing is there, the accounts are loaded with ineptitude and logicless! Acting shrewd, salman is same as he was in the entirety of his ongoing films (precisely the equivalent) Katrina shows improvement over Salman, however just on mid range and long range shots, in close ups you can unmistakably observe her flat articulations Sunil Grover is great yet squandered Others are essentially squandered Even the peak, which individuals state, is contacting, I thought that it was especially sincerely manipulative thus can't feel a thing Music is additionally exceptionally awful and aggravating Do not put it all on the line!!! 0/5 To Sum it up, here are few points - 1. Don't waste your hard earned money 2. If you still think this movie is made for you, then check professional reviews online. 3. It is definitely not for kids, unless you want them to be bored. 4. Sallu bhai's Bharat is a tremendous movie with the ups and downs of a kid separated from his father and sister during the india and pakistans partition during 1947. The story deals with the bharat as a young boy to that of a man in his fifties. The direction and camerawork is dubious. There is also a internal love story with katrina who is a straight forward girl who never worries to take first step. This film is dealt with old school values which integrally involves in most of his movies. This is worth a watch.

That Salman Khan plays the title role means he is in front of the camera for the most part of the film. His character flirts with dangers as a motorbike rider in a circus in its youth. It travels to the Middle East to work in the oilfields. It also joins the merchant navy to make a living, running into Somali pirates who are Amitabh Bachchan fans. Bharat’s has been an adventure-filled life, although the script is disappointingly shoddy even by the standards of the typical masala-infused Salman Khan film. The film aspires to be progressive by reminding the viewer that live-in relationships are fine in modern times. Bharat’s love interest Kumud (Katrina Kaif) questions him on whether her aspirations matter to him or if he sees her only as somebody who can look after his mother and shop in his absence. Such moments are, however, few and far between in a film that packages stereotypes and markets Salman as the central character in a series of star-spangled sequences.

Bharat is all about Salman & Sunil. It seems like they have been together for a long time. Their chemistry is amazing. Acting Salman rocks in his own style of acting. He is the reason to keep you attached to the movie. Sunil Grover has done a commendable job. He excels in comedy, emotions and a bit in love as well. Katrina is visually pleasing. She plays her part well except her old look. Jackie Shroff fits into the shoes of a father very well. He seems motivating. Disha Patani has a guest appearance. She looks stunning. Direction Ali Abbas Zafar's direction is good. The way Bharat's life progresses is shown very well. It does feel boredom for a while but most of the movie keeps you engaged. Story It is an adaptation of the Japanese movie "an ode to my father". It has been geld well with Indian events during the partition. It correctly shows the story of a man & a nation together. Visuals Good visuals but a Salman movie deserves better than this. The navy & circus part of the movie is the best visual in the movie. Music Its mediocre except the song "zinda hun mai tujhme" which is awesome and gives a motivational feel and gives you fire. This song runs many times in the background. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. I enjoyed Salman, Katrina, Sunil. Those child artists were awesome. Sunil's comedy and Salman's presence is what kept me going in the movie. Also I can't express much to my father and so it connected well with me. I love my father and hope to fulfill all his dreams.

Positives: Salman Khan can still Act (proved again after Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan etc) The friendship shown between him and Sunil Grover is good. Katrina Kaif was above average but still she tried well and worked hard for her character.... The media scene to find the lost people was very powerful and won hearts... Negative: The movie was streched a lotttt I guess it should have been shortened.. The songs were not up to the mark. Expectations were damn high from Ali Abbas Zafar's after blockbusters like Sultan & TZH which were not met... Overall, The movie is not a typical action movie for which Bhai is famous however it's a ride of a Man with few comic scenes, romance and lot of EMOTIONS. The movie will somewhere give a good touch, just don't loose your patience till 2nd half as it was streched in the first half. The entire starcast did a good job and honestly it wasn't like Race 3 where he bought all the fukat actors together and ruined the show.

Unlike 'Sultan', Ali Abbas Zafar & Salman Khan combo didn't work this time on big screens. The movie started with a very strong turning point in year 1947 when Bharat(Salman Khan) got separated from his father during partition & now his sole responsibility is to take care of his family. But after such a strong opening everything just fell apart. No doubt the movie name is 'Bharat - A journey of a man & nation together' but there was no togetherness in this journey, instead there was glimpse of India's progress in 70 years by showing India's World cup win, Nehru Ji's death for 30 seconds & then it focused on Salman Khan skills throughout the movie but the last 15mins of the movie gave some relief to the audience with a small Indo-Pak talk show program which was a nice concept. If the movie was taken in a manner in which it reflected how Bharat would have lived his life with those struggling Indian years, surviving every aspect of India's journey in those 70 years then it would have been a master piece but sadly it turned out to be something entirely different.

I was never a Salman Khan fan but after seeing his performance in movies like Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. I realized that he is not that bad and if he gets good script he too can perform well. Bharat is not that bad, I don't know why people are so harsh on this film. That's why I decided to write this review... Plot-->The entire movie revolves around Bharat and his promise to his father that he will take care of his family until his father comes back. Actually Bharat's family use to live in Mirpur(Near Lahore). But during partition, they were forced to leave Mirpur and shift to India. While they were leaving for India, Bharat's sister got lost on the platform. His father asked him to take other family members safely to Delhi and he got down from the train to search his daughter. Before he left he asked Bharat to promise that Bharat will take care of his family no matter what comes back and that's how Bharat's journey began. For more go visit cinema halls near you!!

Bharat was the simply the worst movie of 2019 till now, It fails in every department from acting to cinematography, from editing to screenplay, everything! The movie starts with an old salman khan(who doesn't look old at all) narrating his life journey...Now in this first 5-10 mins there are some jokes which are there to warn you that you're gonna bored to death throughout this film, yes, there is absolutely no comedy, no humour in this. Then Bharat's journey starts which is 'kuch bhi', from here to there to there with absolutely no connection at all, at least show the audience how those experiences helped later in his life but nothing is there, the stories are full of stupidity and logicless! Acting wise, salman is same as he was in all his recent movies (exactly the same) Katrina does better than Salman, but only on mid range and long range shots, in close ups you can clearly see her bland expressions Sunil Grover is good but wasted Others are simply wasted Even the climax, which people say, is touching, I found it very much emotionally manipulative and so cannot feel a thing Music is also very bad and irritating Do not go for it!!! 0/5

The plot rolls around a life of a kid Bharat played by Bhaijaan. His family is shown as a resident of Lahore before separation. As they need to evacuate due to the Hindu Muslim partition so his family leaves the city and reaches station where he and his family board the train to Delhi.. while catching the train her small sister falls on the platform due to mob and goes missing so Jackie Shroff who already boarded the train goes out to look for her and the train starts. As Bharat asks his Dad to get back, he asks Bharat to go ahead and he will come along with the small sister. Also he asks Bharat to promise that no matter what he will take care of his family and keep them together. The movie shows his journey, his ups and downs, his learnings. 1st half shows his journey in Russian Circus ???? where he meets Disha Patani, then working in Oil Mines where he meets Katrina and they fall for each other. 2nd half shows his steps as working in a Merchant Navy and then looking for his lost Father and Sister with the help of Katrina who works for Zee News.

Well, India's most wanted opens with a scene of the deadly blasts that took place in Pune's famous German bakery followed by a series of blasts. The terror plot frame set firmly in place, thus the film is quick to cut to the chase but unfortunately director in keeping the story firmly tethered to the reality doesn't allow it to soar so story ends up with fairly linear and no surprises/reveals.

Salman Khan's much awaited Eid Blockbuster. Even though with the numbers at the box office on day 1, 2 etc may look exciting , the film surely isn't! Taking up the much used partition 1947 theme and not being able to deliver the emotion is something nobody would even imagine in wildest dreams , well they did . From Salman Khan's separation story from his sister and father in Pakistan, Salman makes a Friend Vilayati in Delhi . He , his mother and other children are living with his Bua at her shop . Bharat and Vilayati do odd jobs to make ends meet and try to get government jobs for a long time . They run a circus with Disha Patani but wind it after Salman's brother gets hurt in Maut ka Quan Finally when an opening arrives for work in Arab states on Oil and petroleum plants , they go through medical examination (slapstick comedy for 15-20 mins ) . From their life threatening experience in gasline pipe tunnels to no romance love drama between Salman And Katrina the screenplay proceeds to his sister's wedding where Katrine announces herself as his lover. To prevent his family shop from being sold they both go to work in merchant Navy. The captain's amusing way of speaking leads to Sunil Grover making comical appearances . But with the Sea Pirates rejoicing over Bachchan's songs , things go beyond the line of comical tolerance . Nora Fatehi has a very small role as Vilayati (Sunil Grover) wife , whom she met in Malta . They get married , Katrina gets a job at Zee news . Salman throught is posseive about the shop and hallucinates his father's presence many a times during difficult situations . Zee news conducts "Mere Apne" where people who got separated during partition get a chance to meet . Salman finds his "Gudiya" sister , (though Tabu looks almost his age or older in the scene ). They all rejoice and it's a moment . But Hello ? Where is the action in the Salman Khan Film ? To add that , suddenly goons send by a person who wants to make a mall over the shop attack Salman and Salman fights them off . Next day they go to the decision making for mall building and he has to finally let go of his shop for the mall building . Salman acting is nothing more than what he usually gives . Nothing more nothing less. Very comical in few scenes especially crying ones (emotions aside ) . Katrina has tried really hard but didn't come as outstanding . Bad - Average kinds Sunil Grover is still better and entertains the audience in few scenes . Super boring and unnecessarily stretched screenplay. Dialogues could have been so much better but they are okay . You just wish to get out of the Hall at several times. I was happy during the interval :-) . Not to forget the completely unnecessary National Anthem singing in the movie (not before , it is part of the movie ). Could have given the nationalistic narrative in much better way . Overall, if you're a Salman Fan then nobody's gonna stop you from watching it but otherwise you can definitely skip it . I personally liked TubeLight more than this . Don't even try to compare Bajrangi Bhaijan and Sultan to this. It's a major disappointment

Apart from the visuals, Salman Khan's Bharat offers mature audience little to no excitement. Storyline is riddled with way too many subplots that are incoherent with each others. Makers have tried everything that could've been possible from them in portraying Salman Khan's character as beyond everything be it materialism, greed, power etc. His story revolves throughout the film depicting important facets of his journey from a child to an old man. Bharat has its moments of truth in some scenes of the movie. But, they don't offer much addition to the storyline that was told. Songs are extravagant to say the least. There are few moments that makes you question the motives of directors of what the wanted to achieve with this movie - was it to really present an India centric version of "Ode to my Father" or were they just using an opportunity to rake up as much box office collection as the wanted without actually building a good storyline. Bharat, in a nutshell, is a disappointing movie that offers little to no excitement among the audiences who were hoping for a meaningful entertainer.

Just back watching Bharat. Makers made all efforts to serve action, thril, comedy, romance but as too many cooks spoils the broth, this also happens to this movie. It will attract only dislikes. The main reason why it's not going to be hit that's it poor story line. In 90,s it could be a hit and someone could have feel some touch with such story line i.e. 1947 partition. But in the present era it failed badly to connect the public with that period. Moreover it can't be said patriotic movie except the name "Bharat or unexpected our National Anthem in the movie. Only National Anthem or emotions about lost father can't drag the movie towards success. In movie a nine-year-old boy has been given the responsibility to take care of his mother and three siblings. There is a father, who promises to return in 1947 and Salman starts waiting his father till he reached 72 years. Meaning thereby it is a story of 9 year old child (1947) who lost his father during partition and waits till 2010 when he turned 72 years old and if we assume father (Jackie Sheroff) was 30 years old in 1947 and it's practically very good that salmaan couldn't meet his 102 years old father but he found his sister (Tabbu) finally. So logic is completely unbelievable by the makers. So keep your brain at home while going to watch this movie. Anyhow it will be a great movie for the die hard fans of Salman. Actually audience need connection and that was completely missing in the movie. Sunil Grover role was good and he can be nominated for best supporting actor award but its better to watch his old kapil sharma shows on you tube if wanna laugh and enjoy. Katrina (madam sir ji) role is also not worth remembrance. Disha Patani looked fabulous in her short role. Rest you can watch this movie if you have nothing to do and you have 500 rupees to invest for Salman Khan, who is indeed a superstar.

This boy lives his full life, fulfilling the promise he gave to his dad Salman seen in variety of get ups, ranging in different ages Clean shaven look Thin moustache Black beard middle aged Grey beard old man His love for his family and the country is expressed nicely with some good one liners and half known english He is shown a common man, always available for helping others and sticking with his dad's principles Katrina......very few well enacted movies of Katrina u will come across Namastey London Mere brother ki dulhan Ek tha tiger And now Bharat Her character here always has a half kg mirchi on her tongue, and working in government dept, she is called MadamSir ( name borrowed from Priyanka Chopra's name in Jai Gangajal ) Sunil grover......first time a full fledge supporting role for him. Humour and emotions mixed nicely. Although it fails to entertain the audience for a long period of time as it loses its entertaining grip at some points. Salman has been a centre of attraction for this movie. His stardom really speaks about the success of this movie making it join the 150 crore club. Ace actor Sunil Grover as always been superb throughout the movie proving himself once again on big screen. Ravishing Katrina also plays her part with good finishing expressions. Story line is not very satisfying and a good plot was what lagging throughout the movie. Direction has been a cherry on the top. Movie itself comes with a disclaimer – for Salman Fans only. Bharat is a movie that will absolutely delight any Bhai fan. It has all the elements that you wish for in his movie – action, romance, comedy and more. Ali Abbas Zafar gives us a glimpse into the many eras of Indian history and he does it well. He also takes us through the phase when so many young Indians were going to the Middle East as migrant laborers due to the large-scale unemployment in India. Salman Khan does what he does best – he performs for his fans. Katrina Kaif has a good role in the film starting off as Bharat’s supervisor to being his love interest. She is opinionated and bold and she says what she feels. The actress is super good-looking throughout the younger phase of her character and does a fairly decent job in the older phase too.

This is the worst movie in recent time. There is no sense in the story of this movie. Looks like another part of salman's Tubelight movie because same pathetic drama plotted over the Indo pak border. Direction was good but it can't overcome the lack of script. This movie is a mixture of action + emotions (so called emotional scene). Climax was nice but only in the case if you willing to tolerate full movie waiting for climax. If you're a salman's fan than go for it. Because Fir to "Apne Bhaai Jaisa Koi Hardich Nahie Hai". But I think every one who was waiting for this movie release felt disappointed after first watch.

Bharat is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language action drama film written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. It is jointly produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Nikhil Namit and Salman Khan under the banners Reel Life Productions, Salman Khan Films and T-Series. The film stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Sunil Grover, Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff.Yes, that’s how old Bharat No Surname is, when the film opens. He has no last name because that’s a way to belong to the whole country: ‘tujhme poora desh hai, Bharat’, he is told by his beloved father. And in the arc he draws of his life, which we see mostly in flashback, it is evident that we are seeing the story of Bharat, the nation. This parallel unfurls with verve and strong dollops of emotion in the first half, as we see the sundering of Bharat’s family in Lahore during the bloody tumult of the Partition and follow them to their arrival in a Delhi refugee camp.

Salman Khan's latest Eid offering is an official adaptation of the Korean film An ode to My Father(a wartime drama where a man longs to see his father and sister, who have been separated from him at the time of the Korean war) The Indian adaptation is a dramatic saga tracing Bharat's(Khan)journey over several decades as he gets past all the problems life throws at him.The film focuses on the personal personal and professional experiences Bharat gained against the social backdrop of partition and post-independent era. In the beginning,a heart wrenching incident separates Bharat from his family, and then the film plunges into flashbacks that divulge interesting details about his life and how he decides to keep the promise he made to his father.Through the eyes of Bharat, you see the journey of our country. The narrative is peppered with engaging anecdotes. The only glitch, there are far too many to process. Along the journey,Bharat meets some amusing people, who eventually become an integral part of the story. If you are Bhai fan then go and watch in hall or case is opposite then wait for tv telecast.

So I have been reading a lot of criticism lately about the movie and I am totally against it. A movie take about three years to make. From writing to pre production to locations to casting to production to VFX. I don't think people should deny the movie without even watching it. Now coming to the movie. I really enjoyed it and really loved it. Maybe it was because of seeing Salman Khan on the big screen again. Casting was the essence of the film. Disha Patani and Katrina were both amazing in their respective roles. Actors like Sunil Grover are a treat to our senses, and I'd definitely love to see him as a lead actor sometime. He did a fantastic role in Pathaka as well. I recommend you to watch that movie if you haven't. And after all it's Salman's charm that lead the story and it's all about him. The movie is a must watch. Especially for the fans of Salman. I am not a die hard salman fan but I really admire him and also I loved the film.

Salman khan plays a titular hero whom we follow from the age of eight until a little after his 70th birthday. The film's most moving scene comes early on when a family is separated during a partition and a young boy makes a promise to his father. It is a one time watch movie. All the Salman fans should watch this one !!

Bharat review : At ripe age of seventy, he can fight armed goons on bikes. "Dont go by my grey hair; my life has been colorful", he asserts with a naughty tinge in his eyes. Meet Mr. Bharat (Salman Khan), a guy who's seen it all. From Chacha Nehru's death to India's first world cup win and from Amitabh Bachchan's rise to stardom to Dr. Manmohan Singh actually speaking (!!!); this gentleman has truly aged along with the country he's named after. Losing his father (Jackie Shroff) and chhoti sister during the 1947 partition in a Gadar : Ek Prem Katha (2001) styled train tragedy, Bharat's sole aim is to take care of his mom and other members and also hold on to his sole family property - Hind Ration shop - come what may. To make ends meet, he keeps hopping odd jobs - from a circus artist to an oil rig worker to a Navy technician - through the decades. In between this journey, he has a trapeze hottie Radha (Disha Patani) falling for him and later, his Gulf job recruiter - 'Madam Sir' (Katrina Kaif) as he calls her - turning in to his life partner. All seen and endured, Bharat is not as bad as Bhai's last two duds - 'Race 3' (2018) and 'Tubelight' (2017) but then not as wow as his 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' (2015) and 'Sultan' (2016). The film will fall somewhere between the average to good category depending on how big a Salman fan you are!!!

First half is better then 2nd half which was dragged too much and doesn't make sense.Average songs but Sunil Grover is good and Katrina is wasted here. There is no plot here and some scenes are unrealistic.Only Salman moustache/ beard changes during film nothing else same body structure he didn't even try to act old - Disappointing !!

The movie was quite good. I enjoyed the movie, but it's a one time watch only. Salman bhai's fans are going to enjoy it to the fullest as the movie is coming after a long time. The movie could be a little better if it was trimmed. But other than that enjoyed it.

The main problem with the movie is the script. There is no script. Its a bad story writing. They have picked 5 differents characters and their stories to merge but disappointingly they dont relate to each other. Salman as a kid separates from his father during partition . He promises his father to keep his family safe and secure. He works as circus man for money. He has to leave the job for his brother who imitates him. He went for a govt job under katrina to arab. Fell in love with her. While mining oils an accident happens. He saves his fellows as he is the hero. Then he joins merchant navy out of the blue. Some samoan thiefs attacks the ship and our so called hero saves the ship by singing and dancing bacchan songs. He has a shop in delhi of his father that he dont want to be destroyed. Fights for it and realise that things needed to change as his dream to get his father and sister. Talking of which they added a part where people meet there belongs at the border. So this is it. Conclusion is not to keep your old stores as it is. give it to traders association and build a mall. The only thing i like about the film is the scene where JCB destroys the buildings. And yeah the National anthem part.

Why? Seriously why are the Khans making these ridiculous movies every now and then. Still, Salman is the worst of them all. Shahrukh and Aamir try hard but not Salman. The movie was engaging on the first hour but wasnt at all after that. Too boring movie even after such a big hype. Katrina's acting was surprisingly good in this movie but still if the story isn't engaging then how come somebody is going to appreciate rest. I recommend you to save money on this one.

Salman khan delivered EID celebrations to fans with this movie. Apart from celebrations that EID brings - It also delivers one Salman khan movie directed by Ali Abbas jaffer. When the first look poster of the film released, it showed Salman appearing little older than his age. It was certain that, like the original, this one was going to take us on an extraordinary man’s journey in the backdrop of the socio-political turmoils of a newly independent country. One time watch !!

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat is the story of a person and briefly about the changes that happen in the nation (India) from the day of Independence till 2010. The storywriter tried to inculcate all the elements but Bharat turns out to be a cliffhanger between good and average. Sometimes you really get engrossed, then the boredom strikes only to be captivated by the comedy and emotions when the story takes pace.

It is a Salman Khan Spectacle that enthrals you undoubtedly. Yes it’s got mixed reviews and some complain about the length but if it entertains you through its trajectory then y complain?? Salman as Bharat looks fit as fiddle n deadly handsome so it’s a delight to watch him on screen, after debacles like Race 3 & Tubelight. Bharat is a potpourri of emotions, action, humour, music, charm, love and a beautiful dose of patriotism. It is inspired from the Korean Film “An ode to father” but this has deep rooted Indianness to suit the audience. Salman as 70 year old doesn’t really shine as greyed hair doesn’t make you old, acting does. Everyone can’t be a Rocky Balboa aka Stallone who plays his age with elan. As Bharat takes you through his memoirs, it makes you relive the partition era where the story begins to daredevilry acts in a circus to oil rigs in Middle East to the merchant navy adventure in the sea. But unlike Zero movie this one is in complete form. Each era or phase has an interesting story to watch Sunil Grover gets a meaty role sharing every scene with Salman and boy he does shine with his decent humour, the scenes of physical test being hilarious. Satish Kaushik in his little role is hilarious too Katrina with her dishevelled hair looks less glamorous and looks into the character rather than the porcelain doll she is usually portrayed as. The casting has been atrocious in terms of Jackie playing his dad and Sonali Kulkarni his mom LOL But otherwise the casting is tremendously striking and has fresh faces, each one a delight if you know actors beginning from Meiyang Chang the ex Indian Idol host n handsome dentist, Kumud Mishra a fave of mine, Shashank Arora, Kashmira Irani, Satish Kaushik, Tabu,Asif Ali etc. Glam dolls Disha Patani and Nora Fatehi add the enchantment. The movie takes you through generations touching upon partition, Nehru, Shahrukh n Sachin, Manmohan Singh etc.. The beautiful efforts to tie up India Pakistan warms up your heart. The songs are apt especially Zinda hu main tujhme, hummable Meethi Chashni and Peppy Slow Motion. Overall, it is a good watch though can test your patience sometimes and larger than life thought process but it’s a Salman movie

The movie is a let down definitely. The much awaited and celebrated pair of Salman and Katrina is back. The acting from them is of course not that great. There is a little improvement from their acting. The story is good, his love for nation is depicted in a neat manner. Salman nailed in those scenes, but his acting abilities in emotional scenes are awful. Same is the case with Katrina. There are some scenes where rationality went for a toss. If you are not worried about acting skills, you can watch the film once for the story. Some of the visuals and dancing performances, sets were grand.

I need a refund right now. No logic in the movie at all. Walks on water, gets resurrected by Father, hits a man at the age of 70. First half was interesting but second half is very boring and dragged unnecessarily. Given 2 stars because of some comedy scenes. Don't waste money on the movie.

Bharat is all about a patriotic personality who is completely dedicated towards his family as per promise made by him to his father. Salman khan can be seen in variety of get ups, ranging in different ages, clean shaven look, thin moustache, black beard middle aged, grey beard old man. His love for his family and the country is expressed nicely with some good liners and half known English. He is shown as common man who is always available for helping others and sticking with his dads principle. The movie is not typical action movie for which Salman Khan is famous for, it's ride of a man with few comic scenes, romance and a lot of emotions. The movie will give somewhere a good touch but just don't loose your patience till 2nd half as it was stretched in the the first half. And at last this film would be blockbuster as it's festive time for Bhai's fan.

Tried to survive through out the runtime, because we were a family with 10 tickets but NO I couldn't. Worst acting, unnecessary forced humor, bad writing. Even the music and background score isn't impressive at all. Had to walk out after 1.2 hours. Giving it an honest 2 just because of Sunil Grover otherwise it would have been 1. It's not just waste of our money it's waste of industry's efforts and money too. Salman please stop making such movies and retire gracefully like SRK did. It's your third blunder in a row.

This is such a bad movie. Why Salman is doing this to himself? He is an action hero. He should focus in his area of expertise. There are so many actors one cannot understand as to what is happening. Katrina kaif seems like she has got Hindi tutions. Her English accent to Hindi makes it more pathetic. It would have been good if Rekha voice was dubbed for her. I went to see the movie with enthusiasm but I came out just before the end finishes. Most of the people were hooting - it was such a bad movie !!

Bharat is a brilliant movie and it is definitely going to be another Salman starring blockbuster gift on the occasion of Eid. Moreover, since Ali Abbas Zafar is its director, so it is substantially a logical movie with full of entertainment. Salman-Katrina jodi magically deserves appreciation. Sunil Grover, Disha Patani, Tabu and Jackie Shroff are perfect cast for their perfect roles and of course mature Sonali Kulkarni's strong side acting. This movie is worth a watch in every penny.
