It was a delight to watch this movie. The story rounds upon a teacher who suffers from a disease where she cannot speak continuously She is a courageous woman so she never turns back for the work she has assigned The students usually made fun of her and as they were from backward slum areas they were too much naughty to be handled by teacher That class was considered as the worst in the school and she took the responsibility of making them study and she got succeeded with some masala inside. A must watch for teachers and students.......
I really like this movie and it's a very good to spend time with your children watching this movie and this is great something came to my mind how to tackle the stubborn children who are not listening to you by taking care of they need. According to me this is one of the best role Rani Mukherjee has played in the movie as a teacher which I like and the expressions and are appealing
After a long time watched movie like Hichki . I watched it on Amazon prime video app the movie was amazing . Loved the character of Rani Mukherjee (Naina Mathur). The movie was totally unique with a very unique idea . Rani Mukherjee did justice to the role as a women who is suffering from tourette syndrome and still she completed her dream of being a full time teacher . This story teaches us that the things that only matter to complete are dreams is that we should not leave trying . I loved the way Rani Mukherjee acted .
Finally after a long time we are getting to see a good content based movie which is actually about the upliftment of the deprived children of the society. I actually loved the children and how they are portrayed in the movie. It also has a message that education can be made interactive and fun at the same time. I just loved Rani's acting and kudos to the makers who have thought of this interesting subject.
Hichki had the potential to be more than just a classroom saga. It does touch upon Naina’s personal struggles and her conflicted relationship with her father. But it could’ve explored these aspects a lot more. For all its shortcomings, the movie still has plenty of freshness, insights and emotional intelligence. It can make you nostalgic about your school days and remind you of your favourite teacher. This one definitely deserves good grades.
In this movie Rani Mukerji delivers a memorable performance as the teacher with Tourette Syndrome. Her acting is supremely consistent despite the fact that it is not easy to stammer and make sounds with the same intensity and in the same style always. Indeed, this performance should win Rani Mukerji awards and appreciation galore! On the whole, Hichki will have no hiccups at the box-office and will prove to be a hit.
Hichki is a movie about the difficulities and hardships faced by Naina Mathur who suffers from tourette syndrome. Rani Mukherji perfectly portrays the character of Naina Mathur. Such an inspirational bollywood movie is one of a kind. I would recommend everyone to watch it.
Hichki is a very good and motivational movie in which Rani Mukherji's character suffers from tourette syndrome which is a neurological condition. Despite of it, she wishes to become a teacher. Rani has done amazing work in Hichki and I would definitely recommend it.
Very rare and inspirational movie. Such gems are made in bollowood very rarely. Acting by Rani mukerji and all other child artist is brilliant. The movie shows the struggle faced by neurological disorder suffering person. Direction by Siddharth malhotra is very good.
Hichki is a beautiful movie depicting a patient suffering from tourette syndrome which is a neurological condition. Rani Mukherji portrays this character so well that for a moment i really thought she was that character. Not to forget the kids that played the character of her students did an amazing job as well. I would giver Hichki 5 out of 5 stars.
Hichki is a very beautiful movie that shows us how a character named Naina Mathur who suffered from tourette syndrome works hard for achieving her dream that is becoming a teacher. Rani is an awesome actress and has put up lot of effort to make this feat count. Hichki is a very inspirational movie. I would give Hichki 5 out of 5 stars.
Hichki is also about the hiccups we all face in our lives and how we deal with them. Rani Mukherjee, plays a teacher ,who herself suffers from a neurological disorder called Tourettes and who had faced ridicule from teachers and classmates alike ,was forced to change several schools and rejected during job interviews later in life because of a disorder she had no control over, but does not let anything dampen her spirit and conviction. She takes on the daunting task of taming a bunch of children from underprivileged backgrounds who were struggling to find a place for themselves in a prestigious convent school which as usual gave more importance to marks and grades and social background of the students. How she helps each child identify their inherent talents and brings out the best in them is the essence of Hichki. Reminded me of Sound of Music and our very own Parichay in some places. It is a simple, subtle and heartwarming film which makes you laugh, cry, bond with the characters and feel nostalgic about your school life. Rani once again proves how well she can carry a film entirely on her shoulders.
This is a great movie. Rani Mukherjee has shown some perfect class and talent while acting and portraying a rare neurological disorder. She played the role of a teacher fabulously who always teaches new things. YRF has done great work.really loved it
Hichki is a movie about a courageous girl who is not able to speak properly and is trying to survive in the cruel world . When the whole world is trying to bully her she is a independent teacher who is just focussed on only one thing that is give knowledge to her student. Also her student are in love with her and she is ignoring them.
An excellent, positive and a very motivational movie. It is quite rare that bollywood produces such a gem of a movie. Good effort by the case especially Rani Mukherji and the child actors. The ordeals faced by Rani in becoming a teacher are talked in this movie.
Hichki is a very good movie in which Rani Mukherji shows how difficult it is for a person with a disorder to achieve her goals. She suffers from tourette syndrome. The movie talks about her journey of becoming a teacher which is her dream. It is an amazing movie. I would rate it 5 out of 5 stars.
Hichki is a very good movie showing Rani Mukherjee's ordeal with tourette syndrome and how despite of this syndrome she overcame all the obstacles in her life and became a successful and an amazing teacher. Hichki is an inspirational and motivational movie. I definitely recommend it.

The teacher who did not hesitate to diverge from the syllabus at hand just to make it that much easier for you to understand. The teacher who patted your back or gave you a hug when you excelled. Also stood up for you and ignored your minor follies to subtly make you realise your fault. A teacher who had no favorites but was everyone's favorite. For me , Hichki is a tribute to that one special teacher who touched your life way beyond the confines of the text book and unlimited to the four walls of a classroom. A teacher who helped you explore your inherent strengths and fight your inner demons, inspired you to achieve the unachievable and taught you lessons for life. The teacher who did not hesitate to diverge from the syllabus at hand just to make it that much easier for you to understand. The teacher who patted your back or gave you a hug when you excelled. Rani once again proves how well she can carry a film entirely on her shoulders. Not once did one miss the fact that there was no male lead in the film nor any romantic angle. For me ,there were two highpoints in the movie. One is when Rani asks her students to write out their worst fears on a piece of paper, make an airplane out of it and let it fly. The second is when she is questioned about her out of the box teaching methods where she switches from one subject to the other, she replies, " Jab life test leti hai to subject wise nahi leti." One must watch the movie especially when a highly commercialised industry makes film on a topic which is not only so relevant in the current scenario but also teaches us to be inclusive not conclusive as a society. We should accept all children regardless of their physical, mental or social shortcomings. Only when we as adults will learn to be more inclusive can we hope for the next generation to blossom.

Rani Mukherji has played the character amazingly well and he acting is appreciable. The kids who performed the role of her students also deserve due credit. The movie inspires you to achieve your goals even after obstacles come in life.

Mathur suffer from a neurological condition called tourette syndrome since childhood. she makes unique sounds, more like mildly suppressed screams. she wants to teach because years ago a teachers stood up for her and she understood the impact she could have if she stepped out into the world and did the same.
Another great movie by Rani Mukherjee comes. Such effortless acting by Rani that for a moment you think she is actually the character she is playing. Rani portrays how even in difficult times, happiness and motivation can be found. Not to forget that the kids did equally flawless acting as well.

In Hichki, Rani Mukherjee plays a role of interesting and brilliant teacher who suffers from diseases from childhood. The movie focuses on struggles done by Rani (Naina) to became a teacher in Good school. Naina help students to identify their passion and potential.
A teacher can be mentor, guide and in rare cases, even a friend.Hichki is the story of one such teacher .what makes rani mukerji named as naina in the movie different from others teachers.she makes hics and click noises due to neurological disorder that she explains with sprit and wit.
This is a great movie. Rani Mukherjee has shown some perfect class and talent while acting and portraying a rare neurological disorder. Hichki is an outstanding movie based on a very crtical issue of society. The film is swiftly paced with many comedy scenes so you never feel bored anytime during the film . Rani mukerji nailed her performance as the lead in the movie the way she protrayed her role as a teacher is marvellous. Overall the movie is a clean family entertainer with a strong social message.
Hitchki is about one such person who is determined to give compassion knowledge and understanding to the work. Naina Mathur(Rani Mukherjee) suffers from a neurological condition called tourette syndrome since childhood After 5 years and 18 unsuccessful attempts she gets a chance to teach. The emphasis is to take focus away from the class struggle between slum dwellers and upper middle class.
Hichki movie is about a teacher (Rani Mukherjee) who is more than teacher. She is guide for student. Rani Mukherjee suffers from a diseases from her childhood. After lot of tries she get a chance to teach at school. At starting the movie focuses on struggle of Naina(Rani)..It was a good movie all of you go and must watch the movie.
In the opening moments, the protagonist is interviewed by the trustees of a school. At the outset, none of them has any clue what Tourette's is. They are wiser by the time the spirited heroine is done with them. But one of them still suggests to her that she should cannot be a teacher. Look for another calling, he suggests. Her parting riposte is defiant: if I have taught you about Tourette's in no time, I am sure I can handle students in a classroom, too. Hichki isn't only about an individual's struggle to wrest and secure her rightful place in the world. Its spotlight is also on a lopsided and complacent education system that allows no leeway to those born on the wrong side of the tracks - in this case, on the wrong side of a highway and a gutter that runs alongside it. The bitter battle for acceptance waged by the pivotal character and her underprivileged students plays out on two different planes, the lines crossing each other at times, but the drama never assumes truly rousing proportions. All I would say is a must watch movie to get a lesson in life
Super movie I have never seen this type movie in my lifeeeeeeeee movie is kirak movie has great collection movie had good moral heroine is acted very nice as well as has hero acted very well directer directed the movie very very well... Movie has block buster hit
Hichki" is a story about a woman who turns her most daunting weakness into her biggest strength. Naina Mathur (Rani Mukerji) is an aspiring teacher who suffers from Tourette Syndrome. After several interviews and numerous rejections, she lands her dream job as a full-time teacher in one of the most elite schools in the city. However, she soon realises that the class she has been assigned comprises of defiant and impish students who can't seem to keep out of trouble. Despite a few initial hiccups, Naina must do whatever she can to ensure that her students realise their true potential, and defy all the odds against them.
lOve Rani mukherji's acting and how she is giving message to society through movie. Hichki shows how person can turn his biggest weakness to her strength and relationship between student and teacher.
awesome movie its great to watch and yes rani mukharjee acted very well also its a family film and a great movies hichki is a tribute for that one special teacher who touched your life beyond the confines of the text book and unlimted to the four walls of a classroom
Hichki is a movie based on a story between a teacher and a student.I am sure there is definitely one teacher in our lifetime who treatde us like parents. This movie is also based on the same concept
I am sure at some point during our school lives we all have come across at least one teacher whom we still remember and admire. Hichki is a tribute to that person(s) who forged a bond which was beyond elementary education, made us aware and proud of whatever little talent
Rani Mukerji’s Hichki is a testament to the fact that a film doesn’t need to be dependent on a huge budget and promotions, as long as its heart in the right place. The film which revolves around mental health and the stigma surrounding mental disorder broke all sorts of stereotypes when it was released at the box office, winning the hearts of the audience and critics alike.
Hichki is about one such person who is determined to give compassion, knowledge and understanding to the world. Naina Mathur (Rani Mukerji) suffers from a neurological condition called the Tourette Syndrome since childhood. We are told it’s a speech defect that aggravates whenever she gets nervous. She makes unique sounds, more like mildly suppressed screams. She wants to teach because years ago a teacher stood up for her and she understood the impact she could have if she stepped out into the world and did the same. After 5 years and 18 unsuccessful attempts, one of Mumbai’s prestigious schools gives her a chance to teach. The teenagers she is supposed to teach are unruly, live in a bad neighbourhood and feel alienated among students from other social strata. Naina, however, is determined to give them a sense of purpose. Hichki begins well with a focus on Naina’s struggles in life. She is battling a multifaceted war -- within the family and outside it. Director Siddharth P Malhotra sees a chance to go melodramatic here. He begins exploring the situations to evoke tears. He uses the usual techniques: Heightened background score, people standing and clapping in slow motion and the person of interest drifting alone against a crowd. The emphasis on drama takes the focus away from the class struggle between slum dwellers and the upper middle class. The anger to be counted as equals has been touched upon but not explored. To let Rani Mukerji’s underdog teacher shine, evil characters are created without any justification. They sort of cushion Rani’s saint-like teacher. She, in a way, gets bigger than the cause. Such stories tend to follow the easier route, and Hichki is no exception. From Peter Weir’s Dead Poets Society (1989) to Zhang Yimou’s Not One Less (1999), teachers are expected to take the high moral ground. Hindi films like Sir (Mahesh Bhatt, 1993) and Black (Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 2005) too followed a similar path. Rani Mukerji takes a cue from these films and blends them with a contemporary issue. To Malhotra’s credit, he has got the formula correct. Hichki is good enough to make you cry multiple times. Also, the film’s is well paced. At 118-minutes, there are not many dull scenes. Then there is Rani Mukerji, sassy, confident and completely aware of her circumstances. She operates within the boundary and tries her best to not let the film deviate from the central theme She has got support from Neeraj Kabi and a bunch of happy-go-lucky adolescents, but the lack of depth in film’s writing mars Hichki’s novelty. Hichki oscillates between a strong-willed teacher and some kids pushing against the wall. One can be a hero only at the cost of the other. One of them must get an easier win, and the director chooses Rani Mukerji.

Hats off to Siddharth Malhotra & Aditya for presenting a window of reality that depicts one of the disabilities of our society with respect to the kind of education that exists today in schools through the Turrets Syndrome
A woman who has been affected by An unknown unheard #Tourette's Syndrome is struggling to get a job as a teacher, but after several disappointments finally she lands up with stint in school, where she was student, with an clause, where she has no option but to accept an another tough challenge which Life has thrown at her, which is to educate #RTE quote, rebellous, mischievious underprivileged students.

by watching this film .....we come to know about many things .....tha movie is a mixture of all like drama , comedy, emotions etc I loved the story and the movie too
There are very good movies then comes excellent ones and then u have one like Hichki... and most importantly it wouldn't have been possible without Rani mukerji... I mean she is a powerhouse of talent, effortless perfection is what you will see in her performance
