It is outrageously bold and confident, insanely fun and thrilling, powerfully dramatic and delightfully amusing, all rolled into one epic superhero outing. It sports some of the greatest action scenes and visuals of any superhero movie to date, many of which have been saved from the marketing in order to serve as delicious surprises when you finally see the movie. I haven’t watched the first movie but I could understand the story from there. It was emotional and nice but the story didn’t seem to make sense at places. Gal Gadot did an amazing job as usual. It’s an one time watch and a good entertainer. The story could be better and they could have tried to reduce the slowness of the movie in some places to make it interesting and less boring to the audience.

This made Wonder Woman herself my favorite superhero for the longest time, and she still is one of my favorites alongside Aquaman, Thor, Captain America, and Spider-Man. As well as this, this is easily one of my favorite movies of 2017 along with Thor: Ragnorok, and Cars 3. The movie has been criticized by Marvel fans for stealing Captain America: The First Avengers plot line, but I actually haven't seen that movie yet (I watched the sequels first), so I don't really care. This movie is really fun to watch with stunning visuals, and great action scenes. The story itself even had some mirror images to the story of the Gospel that attentive Christian viewers will be able to spot, which is a very nice touch for a superhero movie. Diana herself is impossible not to like, she's very curious about the outside world she becomes exposed to and is very optimistic, as well as being a great role model not just for young girldps but for teens and adults as well since she never loses her faith in humanity. I wouldn't be surprised if if this movie took some inspiration from Disney's Enchanted or Will Ferrel's Elf, since they play those parts of the story very well between Diana and Steve Trevor. I will admit, Diana and Steve's relationship could, arguably be better written, but it's still really good for what we see in the movie. Diana's group of friends include an aspiring Hispanic actor, a somewhat troubled Scotsman, and a Native America, all participating in WW1 alongside Trevor and Diana. The story is very well written, even if it may borrow some plot lines from other movies. I haven't even mentioned everything there is to mention about the movie, but to sum up, it has a great setup, memorable characters, an intelligent main antagonist, a great protagonist, a fun action. I recommend Wonder Woman all the way to any comic or superhero fan, as well as any fan of world war films.

This film is everything you want in a superhero movie. This is the Wonder Woman movie we’ve been waiting for. One of the first superheroes ever created in comics and the very first female superhero, Wonder Woman is among the most recognizable superheroes in history. The cast are magnificent, especially Gal Gadot’s lead turn as the world’s first female superhero. And director Patty Jenkins has instantly proven herself one of the genre’s finest filmmakers. Gal Gadot’s casting was like a miracle for the studio, as her performance is instantly the stuff of legends. Gadot does a magnificent job with this complex mixture of emotions and motivations in Diana, as well as the many grand fight and action sequences, I can’t imagine anyone else in the role.she is Wonder Woman now, through and through.Chris Pine actually delivers his second-best career performance here. The action sequences in Wonder Woman set a new standard for the genre. It has excellent hand-to-hand superhero combat on par with Batman’s warehouse scene in Batman v Superman or Cap’s fights against Batroc and Bucky in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. But it also has epic war scenes, fantastic sword-and-sandal battles (the Amazon battle on the beach is an instant classic), and big-scale superhero action set pieces bringing down buildings and demonstrating the full scale of superheroism and super-villainy. I loved Matthew Jensen’s cinematography in Wonder Woman, and how it established different visual tones and styles for different settings and different acts in the film. Wonder Woman is an electrifying, breathtaking cinematic achievement sure to win the hearts and minds of audiences around the world. Amazing performances, pulse-pounding action, and outstanding visuals make it one of the best superhero movies of all time.

I loved wonder woman, and I was eager to watch the new version, but honestly I was shocked and not able to complete it. Characters are inflating their roles, even fantasy can be reasonable and fun. Scenes specifically action are repetitive. Galot is a wonderful action model, but still far away from acting, she needs more training.

WW84 takes us on a fun and colorful ride. Nothing revolutionary but it is a good example of classicism done right. The film is not exempt from defects, some CGI effects don't blend seamlessly with the rest of the movie, and its narrative construction sometimes rely on coincidences in order to move the story forward more quickly. However, this last aspect is reminiscent of 80's adventure film and uses it at its advantage to keep the viewer entertained. Finally, WW's originality, her message of peace, kindness and humanism make the film refreshingly stand out.

First movie was great and was looking forward to WW84. It is a terrible movie though. The antagonists are extremely disappointing especially since cheetah is WW biggest rival. The story line is a mess. The script is laughable. Worst DC movie. It's remarkable how they can mess up a movie so bad when all the material for a good WW sequel already exists. I understand they want to make it their own but this attempt didn't even come close to hitting the mark. The plot is thin, the CGI is poor.

The theme of the film is very good, the idea of renouncing what you love is really interesting especially for someone like Diana. Gal Gadot is great as Wonder Woman and her dynamic with Chris Pines' character really does carry this film. Pedro Pascal was also good in the film too. The main issue for me was with its character developments, especially Kristen Wiig's' cheetah. I don't think her character as well as some of the other characters showed the right amount of development especially to justify what they do by the 3rd act of the film. The final scenes of the film for me didn't have that heavy, emotional weight that I think they were going to match the heavy underlying theme of the film. I also thought that there were issues with the continuity and I have to say I was underwhelmed with the final fight scenes. All in all, I thought that the film had its moments. I enjoyed what they were trying to pull off but I do have some issues with the execution. I do still think this is a fun film to watch.

After the success of the first wonder woman, I really had high hopes for this movie. It seemed it would be a fun ride, especially with the good cast they put together. I'm so glad I didn't go to the movies and waste my money on this. It was awful. Poorly written, and the action was bad and was too unrealistic even for a comic book film. A serious drop from the quality of the first wonder woman.

I totally disagree with all of the negative reviews here. This is not your typical superhero movie. I know that many people would prefer more action, fighting, things blowing up, etc. But there are plenty of other films where you can get all of that stuff. This film has a message and it has heart. The special effects are outstanding, the opening is brilliant, the story is outstanding and intelligent, and the musical score is absolutely sumptuous. Obviously, I liked it and I usually don't really enjoy most superhero movies because I find them to be adolescent, juvenile, and prioritize action above character development and story. I think that this movie will be getting more well-liked as time goes on and more people enjoy it.

Wonder woman 1984 starring Gal Gadot is a action sci fi movie released in 2021 . The starting of the movie took us back to the childhood of wonder woman and her journey to achieve that . The movie is a complete package of drama, action and effects. The movie is worth watching and after endgame ,there is something to watch from DC.

The original WW was a good superhero movie, but this one is 99% garbage. Trying to understand what fundamental change could have caused such gold to trash change, I easily spotted that the director is also story writer for WW84. Everything makes sense to me now. Being so self-absorbed and firing the screenplay writer indeed shows whose work was the key to the success of the original WW, and this piece of trash WW84.

Things bad with the movie: Slow paced film. Had to watch most parts by forwarding as it was slow and dragging. Action only occurs in the last 20-30 mins of the movie. The scenes where WW is running and gliding looks so fake and childish. The CGI was bad. I'm actually shocked how bad it is for such a big production. At one point I thought this film is the draft version. poor script writing and production. It had so much potential but total let down. Whole movie feels cheesy and childish. GG acting just felt off. Action scene when it arrives is brief. Don't waste time on this movie, better watch something else.

After Wonder Woman and Aqua Man, I thought DC comics finally turned the corner with getting movies made that we're good and fun to watch. This neither was fun to watch or had a good plot. I feel horrible for Gal Gadot, and every other actor/actress in this movie. The first Wonder Woman movie is one of my favorite all-time superhero movies. It had great action and a great story. I don't know what they were thinking when writing this. It is just plain bad. But I guess that fits with 2020 in general. Too bad, for the Wonder Woman franchise.

Quite possibly one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. No plot development. No character development. Absolute atrocious storyline, cheesiest end since Adam west batman days. Only saving grace is gal Gadot is in it. Little to no action. The movie just doesn't make any sense. Whoever did the editing on this movie needs to get fired. This is the metaphorical nail on the coffin for DC universe. I love DC superheroes more but the stories they green light for production are hideous and juvenile.

Nerpagalavan posted a review for Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) in Movies
Wonder Woman 1984 suggests that greatness isn’t always the glory-filled mountaintop experience you might think it is. Often, being truly great requires a lot of self-sacrifice and effort on someone else’s behalf. And true acts of bravery often require “patience, diligence and the courage to face the truth.” We’re also told that life isn’t always fair. It can be painful and lonely. And others can appear to have it far easier that you. But in spite of that, life is rich. Even in the face of incredible loss, life can offer so many good things if you merely make the effort, and take the time, to reach for them. “No true hero is born from lies,” a tween Diana is told after taking a shortcut in an Amazonian competition. Indeed, the film strongly emphasizes the importance of truth as a bedrock We see Barbara give food to a homeless man and do other nice things for people before her personality changes after gaining her wish. Elsewhere, in spite of his many flaws, a manipulative man eventually steps away from things he’s gained to show his love to his son. The conclusion ultimately reinforces the notion of how important fathers are, and that a bad dad can do damage to a son that reverberates down through the generations; a good dad, meanwhile, takes responsibility for his mistakes and doesn’t embrace perfection as a standard for himself or his children. SPIRITUAL ELEMENTS There is, of course, a nod to Greek gods here, since the fictional Themyscirian history is based on such things. And the wishing stone (or Dream Stone as Barbara calls it) is purported to have been created by an “ancient god of lies,” an entity that used it to destroy numerous civilizations through history, including the Mayans. People begin to riot in the street at one point, and a man with a Bible in hand calls out warnings to those around him. “Can you see what your sinfulness has done?” he cries. [Spoiler Warning] We find out that the Dream Stone works much like the old legend of the Monkey’s Paw: when a boon is given, recipients must surrender their most prized possession. SEXUAL CONTENT Diana and Steve (whose essence takes over the body of another man, but whom Diana only sees as Steve) embrace and kiss a number of times. And they are shown waking up together in the same bed. Steve’s shirtless in that scene, while Diana wears a slinky camisole. We also see Barbara working out in a gym in a very revealing and clingy leotard. During a party at the Smithsonian, Diana and Barbara dress in very form-flattering outfits that draw the surrounding men’s attention. Other tops worn by women are low cut and cleavage revealing. Barbara heads to her office with a man named Max Lord. She’s intent, it seems, upon a sexual encounter in that private space, and the two do kiss passionately. Max, however, is mostly feigning sexual interest in order to steal something from Barbara. Several older men ogle a group of young women dressed in tights as they bend over and stretch during a choreographed exercise routine. A TV ad features a small group of bikini-clad women surrounding a guy on an expensive motorboat. As the plot unfolds, various people in places of prestige and power use the Dream Stone to make wishes. One of these is a stereotyped 1980s televangelist whom we hear has some sort of a sex-tape scandal that he wants to disappear. VIOLENT CONTENT Once Barbara gets her wish to become more like Diana, she also gains Diana’s strength and athleticism. With these abilities, Barbara starts bashing and thumping anyone who displeases her. One of those beatings involves a drunken man who grabs her in two separate scenes and, darkly, seems intent upon sexually assaulting her. In the first of those encounters, Wonder Woman comes to her rescue. The second, however, finds Barbara brutally unleashing her strength upon the drunken letch, beating and kicking him mercilessly, to the point that it’s not even clear if he’s alive or dead as he lies bloodily in the street. It’s one of the film’s more disturbing scenes. Elsewhere, Barbara moves on to running around a large room full of men and throwing them around in careless ways. (Some might have died, except that Diana uses her strength and lasso to save them). Eventually Diana and Barbara go after each other (after Barbara morphs creepily into a half-human/half-cat “apex predator” named Cheetah), and they slam each other into concrete walls and electrocuting electric wires. Diana is attacked by gunmen, street thugs, secret service officers and a variety of other people with pistols and automatic weapons. And because of an effect that weakens her, she is bloodied and repeatedly wounded (though those wounds on her chest and shoulders disappear after her powers are restored). In addition, large armored cars try to crush her. Meanwhile, Steve takes his share of swings at opponents, too. Wonder Woman saves many people in the course of things, and on multiple occasions she steps aside in the heat of a fight to scoop up children and swing them quickly to safety or to deflect falling objects away from them. Some thugs are slammed down on the roof of a cop car. When a self-serving con man named Maxwell Lord gets his hand on the wishing stone, he has it transfer its powers to him and he then starts granting wishes for his own glory. But the stone also takes a painful toll on his body, causing him to bleed from his eyes, nose and ears. We witness other wishers suffer in painful physical ways as well. As the human world begins to decline thanks to the Dream Stone’s powers, riots break out in the streets, nuclear war is threatened, and global chaos erupts. [Spoiler Warning] A flashback at the end of the film unpacks Max’s backstory. We see him as a child, impoverished, picked upon and growing up with a raging father who physically and emotional abuses him. For some viewers who’ve experienced or witnessed domestic abuse, this could be a difficult scene. CRUDE OR PROFANE LANGUAGE There is a single use of the s-word and single uses of “b–ch” and “h—.” Someone calls out “oh my gosh” and “shoot” a couple times each. And God’s name is misused once. DRUG AND ALCOHOL CONTENT In a heated moment, a guy gulps back a glass of booze. Some people have glasses of wine or champagne at a party. And Diana drinks wine with dinner. OTHER NEGATIVE ELEMENTS Granted wishes, in turn, push some people in greedy, evil directions, especially Maxwell Lord. CONCLUSION As superhero sequels go, especially DC superhero sequels, Wonder Woman 1984 is pretty top-shelf. It carries on Diana of Themyscira’s story with aplomb—casting satirical winks and chuckles at the 1980s and all of that decade’s quirky, parachute-pants-and-fanny-pack glory. It’s filled with thrilling action sequences, aptly adorned with a magical good-versus-evil storyline and peppered with enough romance to keep the romantically minded sighing. On top of that there are some pretty solid lessons here, too. Wonder Woman reaches for truth in the face of lies. She chooses to give self-sacrificially for others. And she goes from initially feeling lonely after spending fifty years by herself in this crazy human world, to noting that life—even in the face of a great loss—has so much to offer and enjoy. Content-wise, Wonder Woman 1984 feels broadly similar to the first film, albeit with a couple of caveats. A morning-after scene involves Diana waking up in bed with her newly restored Steve Trevor—implying a little more intimacy than younger fans really need to be dwelling on, and more than we saw in the first film. Barbara’s would-be tryst with Max Lord doesn’t ultimately move pass kissing, but she’s clearly got more on her mind. And some of the scenes of violence here, particularly Barbara’s savage beatdown of a would-be sexual assault perpetrator, are wince-inducing as well. Like the first film, those issues don’t unduly detract from this valorous hero’s second story, which in other ways is about as old-fashioned and uplifting as you might hope for. Ultimately, Wonder Woman remains a positive and inspirational icon who stands for truth, even when doing so comes at great sacrificial cost.

The writing was that of a fourth grader's school assembly. The design was absent from the story. The story made no sense in any way whatsoever. It was so long. So so very long. These were good actors giving the worst performances. The editors and director should be apologizing to the actors for choosing these takes. The concept was dumb and inconsistent. The extras felt like they were told to ham it up. It held up every awful stereotype. The relationships felt like most of the people met that day, and were uncomfortable around each other. It was not even fun. It had a couple of decent nonsensical action scenes, but the constant shift in her powers, and the overuse of the lasso were unflattering. I am embarrassed for everyone involved in the decision making for this film. The first movie was so good - and this was no just a bad sequel, but the worst superhero movie I have ever seen - and I have seen almost all of them. I often get accused of being too easy on certain films. I would maintain, the above is STILL going easy on this film. Horrendous on every level.

I believed in the heart the Wonder Woman brand created like countless of others. The first wonderfully set up the super heroine for greatness and they filmed and wrote it wonderfully. I'm not saying it was amazing, but it was surprisingly better compared to the other films in DCs library. But the WW84 was a sad waste of my time as they shot the film from the three point line straight into the garbage. Nothing but net for DC. The film was so slow, lazy, and disrespectful to the DC fans who saw the first as a success in a sea of disappointment. The villain, played by Pascal, could've been a great foe but with questionable actions and character choices by the writing team left so much more to be desired. The chemistry between Gadot and Pine was refreshing if one of the limited silver linings in the 2 hour movie. While it had heart-even a super basic salt and pepper heart-it was still two sizes too small this holiday season.

The first movie was engaging from the very beginning, colorful and exciting. It's only agenda was to draw in the audience and give them pure entertainment with blockbuster appeal. This new movie seems to have forgotten all that made the first Wonder Woman a great movie. This movie seemed to be designed around a political message from the plot to the set designs to the dialogue. I'm not a fan of political messages in Hollywood and actually look to Hollywood as an escape from the constant onslaught of politics in our media and elsewhere. It's such a disappointment when a movie that could have been fantastic ends up being a political ploy.

This has to be one of the worst movies of 2020. I waited patiently for this film to release and I was dismayed by what I saw. The action is dull, the acting is wooden and dialogue sounds like it was written by a first time writer. If you love clichés this is your movie. It's filled with them and you just have to roll your eyes. Superman v. Batman is far more superior than this film. Director Patty Jenkins really dropped the ball. The first film was so much better. What blows my mind is that the movie was directed by the same person who directed the first one. I think it was the right decision to split the release between digital and theatrical because it was not going to make its profit back just by doing a theatrical release, let alone on demand. I don't recommend this movie. I'd advise you wait until it's free on tv in about a year. It's that bad. It pains me to be so critical of Wonder Woman because I'm a huge fan.

That’s great for Diana and all. Better to be a little girl than a hunk o’ clay, surely. But she doesn’t have any playmates her own age, so she funnels her time into the Amazons’ strict, classically based education curriculum. She learns (no exaggeration) about 150 languages. She studies biology, learning what she can about men even if she’s never actually seen one. And, when her mother’s not looking, she sneaks off to get some good, old-fashioned warrior training from her aunt and the island’s intimidating general, Antiope.

Gadot remains a winning and winsome figure in “Wonder Woman 1984,” and she retains her authentic connection with the audience, but the machinery around her has grown larger and unwieldy. Maybe that was inevitable, the urge in crafting a sequel to make everything wilder and brasher, more sprawling and complicated. In the process, though, the quality that made the original film such a delight has been squashed almost entirely.

The movie’s most satisfying moments have little to do with the central conflict, arising instead from the discovery (and vicarious implementation) of Diana’s powers. Fans of the comics have long asked themselves, “If Wonder Woman can fly, why does she need an invisible jet?” Jenkins puts this debate to rest in her own way, taking a page from Donner’s “Superman” as Steve and Wonder Woman share a romantic joyride from a fireworks-lit sky.

I have low expectations for DC movies. Some have delightfully surprised me. This falls flat on its face after 15-20 mins and never gets up...or even TRIES!! It felt rushed through production (definitely not in watch speed...). It was boring when their wasn't action and when the action started it was so fake it was distracting. Gadot and Pascal try and maybe have moments that don't suck. Wiig was...well exactly how you would expect her in an action film as a villain. To say the movie is disappointing is an understatement which is sad considering I had zero expectations going into it. Glad it was streaming so I didn't have to waste money on a movie ticket.

Probably the biggest blockbuster is streaming right now. The movie is Wonder Woman 1984 directed by Patty Jenkins. The main story of this movie is about Diana Prince's thrilling adventure. Diana Prince lived with everyone in disguise like a normal person. But at some point she had to come in front of everyone. And if you want to see it, you have to watch the movie. A picture to watch with everyone. this movie is specially for those who love DC Comics. The graphics, animation, storyline, direction, soundtrack of the movie are very good in all aspects. Three years after the visionary director Patty Jenkins and the perfect-for-the-part Gal Gadot teamed up for the beautifully rendered, surprisingly deep mega-hit “Wonder Woman,” the oft-delayed sequel will be released in U.S. theaters and on HBO Max on Dec. 25 — and it’s a Christmas gift equal parts thrilling, comedic, romantic and action-packed, with a tone reminiscent of the Richard Donner “Superman” movies and the 2000s “Spider-Man” films. To be sure, we get a classic comic book movie storyline about a megalomaniacal madman intent on taking over the world, but there’s often a relatively light tone to the proceedings. This is a throwback piece of pure pop entertainment.
