Good newwz is an infotainment film. Entertains us 100% and informs about a serious subject like IVF-intra vitro fertilisation (test tube baby) Varun Batra(Akshay Kumar) and Deepti Batra(Kareena Kapoor Khan) are a Mumbai based modern couple married for 7 years having good careers as the maternity clock is ticking trying to become parents, unsuccessfully. Their sister refers them to a fertility specialist Doctor Joshi and soon they accept the IVF procedure to make sure of getting good news soon Here comes the twist. Co-incidentally another Chandigarh based young couple named Mr Honey Batra(Diljit Dosanjh) and Mrs Monika Batra(Kiara Advani) Batra are similarly trying for a test tube baby in the same fertility clinic in Mumbai Accidentally Batra men sperm samples get exchanged in the laboratory and both the couples worlds turn upside down when Doctor informs them that Mrs Batra women are now carrying the other Batra man's baby in her womb Naturally both the couples are super shocked, dissapointed and confused at the same time. In the remaining part of the film Writer puts in hilarious way the difficult journey of these two Batra couples progresses from pregnancy to delivery of babies. The uneasy acceptance through heartaches at their painful truth is the film about. When 2 little babies arrive all the confusion and bitterness vanishes away and both live happily after. Fate turned them enemies and babies made them humans Watch it for good comedy by the actors and funny dialogues.

Deepti and Varun are high flying married couple living in Mumbai and are much involved with their respective careers. Deepti also has her heart set on having a baby and after trying for a few years and then, some prodding by the family, both varun and she decide to consult one of the best fertility specialist in the city. The doctor advices IVF and they are ready for it. Only hitch, few days after the procedure is through, Deepti and Varun are told that there is a sperm mix up with another couple having the same last name. Enter the 'Batras from the Chandigarh' into their lives. Honey and Monika are a loud Punjabi Couple and its a complete clash of sensibilities between the two set of Batras. As both Deepti and Monika find out that they both are Pregnant, the rest of the film found how the couples come to terms and deal with this unusual situation. At the heart of it, Good Newwz is a light and breezy comedy and certainly makes for an entertaining watch.

Generating LOL through interchange of twins or doppelgangers has been subject matter for many Bollywood hits in the past. With Good Newwz, this adla-badli genre (if it can be called that!) goes two steps further with sperms getting interchanged during an IVF (in-vitro fertilization) procedure and causing havoc for the two Batra couples. Varun (Akshay Kumar) and Deepti Batra (Kareena Kapoor) are the hi-fi mumbaiites at one end of this sperm swap while Honey (Diljit Dosanjh) and Monika Batra (Kiara Advani), a boisterously loud Chandigarh couple, are the other affected party due to their fertility expert's (Adil Hussain) negligence. As both Deepti and Moni get pregnant, Honey decides to shift lock, stock and barrel as Varun's neighbour so as to keep an eye on Deepti bearing his biological child. Right from the hilarious opening banter between Akshay and Kareena, Good Newwz keeps you thoroughly entertained throughout its two hour fifteen minutes of run time. Particularly, the first half is sure to bring the house down with its non stop gags and solid punch lines. The second half gets tad serious which ofcourse, is essential for the plot. Note the superbly executed Kareena's monologue to Akshay on problem every mother faces to give birth to a child. Truly heartfelt that! More on the positive, Akshay Kumar is in top form with his perfect comic timing. Kareena Kapoor looks absolutely gorgeous and reaffirms her acting mettle in the aforementioned monologue scene. Diljit Dosanjh, a brilliant actor that he is, keeps us invested in a character which is so loud and over the top. Kiara Advani is sincere. So are Adil Hussain and Tisca Chopra as the gynaecs. On the tech front, Vishnu Rao's cinematography is top notch. Trust me, Mumbai has never looked so beautiful. The songs are mostly well known Punjabi remixes and the end credit one is the only original number as Producer Karan Johar announces in his special appearance. Debutant director Raj Mehta and writer Jyoti Kapoor deserve applause for giving a nice comic touch to such a sensitive topic and making Good Newzz a light breezy entertainer to be enjoyed with family and friends.

**Blockbuster comedy with emotional ending** I have no words that can describe this movie. This movie worth of your money and time. Whether you talk about story, script, emotional or comic scenes, it's a master piece in every aspect. Kudos to Akshay sir for his fabulous performance. It's not easy to do a movie in every 3 month and deliver such contact. Kareena, kiara has done their part perfectly in film. Diljeet is a surprise package in this film after Udta punjab. He is fabulous. Overall paisa wasool with a great message. Must go and watch!

A comedy movie worth watching - it's very refreshing to watch such types of movies. Full of adult jokes but doesn't crosses the line. Kudos to the casting director for the tremendous work. Akshay has done fabulous job. Kareena and Diljit have also done great job. Overall the movie is paisa vasool.

Movie is very good and full package of drama and laughter, story lineup is very excellent and I must say comic timing of Akshay Kumar and Kareena kapoor are better and the work of Kiara and Diljit very impressive. Movie is all about laughter overall it was fun watching them. I have given them 4 star because I think the end could be much better than what I have saw, it's like suddenly someone has stopped playing movie. Watched great movie after a long time and laughed this much..

Good Newwz - just like its spelling - is a nearly perfect movie which keeps you hooked onto your seats with the sperm exchange plot. The comedy in the first half of the movie is just out of this world, and more importantly, it's a very new brand of comedy - a much needed refreshment. Admittedly, it borders on adult jokes sometimes, but never crosses the line. The movie weakens post the interval till the climax but is entertaining nonetheless. Akshay and Kareena's chemistry is superb and they get along well in comic as well as emotional scenes. Diljit keeps the show going with his loud character and is complemented by Kiara, who should've had a slightly bigger role. Good Newwz makes sure you leave the theatre with some good news!

This song justifies everything the original 'sauda khara' sukhbir's efforts in the original as well as in the remake and most importantly it still makes us go dancing like mad. Akshay, Kareena, Diljit, Kiara - all of them acted well. Meanwhile in every bollywood songs... 1 or more short skirt women dancing with a group full of white chicks, glittery lights and some rapper who can't dance...! Time to make some changes bollywood !

First half was packed with comedy and second one was a bit serious but with some good humour. One can its an entertaining movie. Akshay Kumar was at his best and Kareena Kapoor Khan as always looks gorgeous and acts well too. Diljit Paji was just fantastic with Kiara Advani - thumbs up. Maana Dil in melodious voice of B Praak comes at such time that it makes you emotional and touchy. Infact, one will listen to the song line by line (I am sure it will be on loop after watching the movie in your playlist) - Music Perfect! A must watch movie if you want to be entertained

This film is not just funny, its thought provoking, challenging, emotional and also fairly taboo breaking in its home country. The frank and open discussion of sex and infertility in couples is something that is definitely a positive forward step in bollywood in showing that life isn't always a fairytale. The two contrasting couples, urban, westernised city dwellers vs the traditional punjabi fun loving couple is hilarious. this film did make me almost cry towards the end! and the ending does not disappoint. you can really feel the emotion through the acting. akshay kumar is excellent as always.

A good light-hearted fun movie. Deals very sensitively with the topic of IVF and even tries to create some awareness about it. It might feel a little “preachy” or dragged out in certain places, but then I guess it is okay when you are trying to send a message across on such an important issue. Akshay Kumar is at his witty best always but the real show stealer is Diljeet Dosanjh. I really loved his performance and I have truly become a fan of his effortless comedy. Both the leading ladies are wonderful as well. Kareena Kapoor is stunning and Kiara Advani also shines throughout the movie. It has some really emotional scenes in the second half but the movie maintains its funny pace throughout most of it.

The movie was not boring at all and shows the very true fact of our society and thinking. As we all know the movie is about sperm exchange but the fact is egg was not changed. So why everyone only talk of sperm and never cares of egg, this surely shows how male dominating society we have. To be very clear movie shows the child is your child if there is your sperm but not your child if there is your egg. Well the very satisfying fact was also shown in this movie that a single view of a new born baby fix every problem and there is nothing more precious than that baby.Overall all the actors performed really well and the story was a treat to watch. Superbly directed by debut director Raj Mehta with tight screenplay and no overdoing. Very entertaining movie made with an emotional touch in the end. Good Newwz can be considered a benchmark film for an urban comedy.

Can't find any negative points about this movie, just that story is on a thin line. But overall it's an entertainer of the year kind of film. The concept is fresh and completely new. It is a very funny story however in real life it can turn out to be very sensitive topic. Songs of this movie are super hit and give relief whenever they come in the movie.

GOOD NEWWZ, GOOD AS A MOVIE BUT BAD AS REALITY First time director Raj Mehta's Good Newwz(spelling to signify wildness of indian mind on the subject of infertility) is good as a movie but as a reality there are many flaws. It should be purely handled as a comedy and fictitious but already attacks on doctors are increasing and such messages may create negative image of medical fields (Also it may create anti adoption mind at least in few) Common people may think fertility clinic mix-up is so common and taken so lightly not considering the complexity of the subject! Actually the idea of goof up between two culturally dissimilar couples is fantastic but think of its repercussions also. It is all arguably done in good humour, but there are elements in the film that may send negative messages about motherhood's priority and other social, divisive factors. Kareena has acted superbly, its pleasure to see Akshay in nonpatriotic, comic role, Daljit is perfect and Kiara is OK. Direction, Screenplay and dialogues keep you involved and happy. Mumbai looks so beautiful, thanks to awesome cinematography. Overall, keeping aside social aspects, Movie is a fun ride with comedy dialogues and expressions, you will definitely enjoy the film.

Doesn't matter if you a couple or single - its a humorous movie but please don't go with your family or little children as it has many bold, abusive and sex talks. As the name suggests, 2 couples tried to have baby but are unable to conceive and then take help of fertility IVF clinic but their sperms get interchanged and it creates some funny moments.

I will say its a treat to watch two comic star akki paji and diljit both with great comic timing. Diljit's performance is standout for me. It wins your heart. Kiara is my fourite although i wouldn't like to see her in a ptegnant woman role but i liked her role and the ease with which she has played her role was fantastic to watch. Story goes around the goof-up of sperms and educate us about ivf process. I will say its must watch movie.

Well it was a great movie indeed. The actors played their roles to perfection. The movie also gave a message about difficulties faced by woman during motherhood . It was kind of informative as well about IVF. It was a family entertainer with hilarious moments every second. It's definitely a good news for the Bollywood lovers as this romcom gives us a perfect hilarious flick as we say bye bye to 2019! Good Newwz may have a multiple starcast with Akshay, Kareena, Diljit and Kiara, along with the fab doc couple Adil and Tisca, but it's mostly Akshay who makes us ROFL (in whole of the first half) and cry (in some of the terrific emotional scenes in the second half). However it doesn't mean that others give some average work. Kareena, Diljit, Adil, Kiara and Tisca are wonderful too and have done a great job! Kudos to the director, writing team, cameramen and ofcourse the casting director (everyone is apt for their roles) for the tremendous work. Music is fun too in this movie and it merges with the plot splendidly! Guys, just go watch this wonder and return home in a happy mood.

The movie good news director Raj Mehta's, presumably to signify wild and wiggly in one go - is a sterile, still-born comedy that hinges on a fertility clinic mix-up that sends two culturally dissimilar couples into a spiral of despair and confusion. Both states of mind are likely to spill out of the film's pulpy universe and rub off on all but the most generous of Mumbai movie fans who may be inclined to fall for its gossamer veneer and full-of-beans star cast. But that is of course the least one expects from a movie that has Karan Johar on board as a co-producer.Featuring a quartet of pretty people whose fate gets entangled in the ovaries of two childless women, the film revels in swimming in mediocrity. It strives hard to be funny but is never more than mildly amusing. Good Newwz banks on the belief that its audience will take all its drawbacks in their stride and warm up to the tedium that it shovels out of its womb for whatever it is worth. It is all arguably done in good humour, but there are elements in the film that is at variance with the modern worldview that its principal characters are meant to convey. Besides perpetuating the myth of motherhood being the be all and end all of a woman's life, Good Newwz peddles egregiously regressive notions about gender roles in marriage, divisions of class and education, and the nature versus nurture conflict

Akshay kumar rocked it as always! Bebo aka kareena is seen on screen after a long time and did complete justice to the role. Kiara's comic timings was great. The surprise element of the entire movie was Daljeet singh dosanjh. His comedy was awesome. Story line is new and unique. All together a complete entertainer !

The movie tries to show how IVF can give birth to a child. The movie attempts to portray the character of the contemporary urban psyche.The music in the movie is very pleasant. Director Raj Mehta has given enough of his intelligence. All in all, this movie is fairly good. My rating: Plot - 4/5 Soundtrack - 3.8/5 Characters - 3.5/5 Directions - 4/5

Raj Mehta has made his directorial debut with this film and his special thing is that he has not allowed this film to be vulgar, boring and over the top of the issue like sperm exchange. On one side of the Good Newwz, the special thing is that it has been edited very well and this film does not make it boring. The first half of Good Newwz is very good and interesting, while the second half is full of comedy and also a little emotional. The song of the film is popular from the first. Talking about acting, Akshay Kumar has once again shown that he is not less than anyone in the matter of comedy. His comic timing is very funny. Kareena Kapoor is also looking very beautiful in this film. Diljit and Kiara Advani have also done their part very well
